Icon Park Hotel, Chiang Mai recensioner

The hotel is located just outside the old city on the north west corner just outside the hotel is a bar but it’s not noisy and on the same complex a kfc and Pizza Hut. Just along the road is a little street food market which has some cheap and nice food. The hotel is nice and clean and rooms cleaned every day they is a gym but it’s not very big but decent size weights to use. Only noticed the day we checked out the windows in the room didn’t shut correctly so had a slight gap but we didn’t get any insects in the room on a night but overall a nice stays.

Cons: • The hotel housekeeping staff did not clean thoroughly, especially the bathroom drain, which was clogged with hair. • Towels were not changed regularly. • The hotel’s TV is outdated and has a delayed response. • The hotel’s internet connection is poor. Pros: • The hotel has a great location. There is a bar downstairs, a supermarket, and street food nearby. • Maya Shopping Mall is just a 10-minute drive away.

Despite being told that breakfast was included, we were abruptly stopped while getting food and informed otherwise. Throughout the rest of our stay, we felt closely monitored whenever we visited the coffee corner, which created a sense of unease. On a more positive note, the location was excellent, and the remainder of our stay was satisfactory.

It was a clean standard twin room for me and my friend. Hotel 3rd floor has a large shared dining area with cool board games to play. Breakfast buffet was good and they also provide complimentary afternoon tea and snacks. Recommended if you are solo traveler or with group of friends.

Nice, clean hotel in a prime location near a mall, shopping, restaurant, and night market. Unfortunately, no amenities such as gym are available and rooms are rather small.

Good service, clean, close to main city

Room quite clean. Service is good. Nearby have many amenities. Suitable for travellers who want to explore Chiang Mai old city!

Little far away from old city, about 10 mins walk. Besides, little smelly from toilet, it may be from drain. Anywsy, staff is helpful and accomodation fee is reasonable.

There will be a night market nearby at night.

I will start with the positives - the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The location is close to the old city. Generally the rooms are clean. the negatives: the towels are so old. I was not comfortable using the hotel towels without imagining what they have been through. They look more like feet towels. If you get the wrong side of the building, you can hear live music from the restaurant next door until midnight. Not a sound proof building. No balcony. No place to dry your clothes. Baby cot was old and shaky and not high enough so a toddler could climb out. Breakfast was a big disappointment. You have eggs, some porridge, pasta, but sausage and ham are bad quality. Cereals, toast, fruits, salad, sometimes fried rice. That’s pretty much it. Not much variety. Better to look for breakfast elsewhere. No shops near by. Closest 711 is 500m away. But very nice staff.

I enjoy staying at ICON Park every time im in Chiang Mai, about 4 times a year. Good Breakfast, close to everything. Very Clean. Comfortable Beds.

Nice and clean, very big. It's great value for the price. The room felt very empty though, just the way it's laid out. There's a korean restaurant inside the hotel but also a cafe, a bar, and KFC right outside. It's walking distance to many things around.

Due to my flight delay I only get to check-in hotel in the night. During check-in i was told my room is a Japanese style type, with a double mattress on raise platform. since i was too tired due the 4 hours of flight delay at the airport I took the room excess card without asking further. The room size is average but the raise platform is almost the entire room except the entrance to the bathroom. moving around the room is inconvenient. The platform is way too high. After my shower i saw the bath area is fill with water as the floor is not level properly. Next morning water is still there, i went to reception to tell them the problem and ask for a change of room as i was staying for 5 nights. Room was not available in the morning i got the new room when i came back late afternoon. A decent standard room and every thing is ok. I didn't take hotel breakfast. There is free bottle drinking water in the room and also you can take extra at the fridge near the lounge downstair. Location is convenient, a couple of restaurants nearby and the Chang Puak night food market is just a short walk away.
