We stayed at president suite. They provided a complimentary extra bed for the kids, sent us fruit basket and a giant bear soft toy on the bed to surprise the kids.
We stayed in premier king room for 2 nights and it was amazing. With kids club and waterpark inside the resort, for sure both adults and kid will have something to do and enjoy their own ‘me time’ to relax. Hotel lobby is huge and heaps of cultural decors for Photo shots, room is very well maintained and very comfortable, a king bed and small single bed with cartoon characters quilt/bed cover for kid. My daughter surprised by Huge teddy bear once we entered the room. Breakfast and coffee was the best one we had in Chiang Mai so far, definitely deserved 6 stars for it. One downside is the water temperature in the pool and spa, pool was too cold even at the noon 12-1pm on sunny day and spa was too hot, staff claimed to be 41 degree, but I can feel it’s even hotter than nature hot spring in Japan that can boil eggs. Apart from the resort, location was very good too, there are a few nice restaurants and a small mall with BigC supermarket within 600m walking distance, love it. Will 200% come back again next time.
The location of the hotel is right in the center of Chiang Mai, which is very convenient. I was upgraded to a Horizon Club room, giving us access to the Horizon Club on the 11th floor for drinks, breakfast, and supper before dinner. The service overall was great, but there were some issues.
We were placed in a conjoined room, and on our last night, we were woken up by noisy guests who checked in late next door. I called the front desk to request that they move the guest to another room, but the staff member seemed unable to provide a solution. I had to take NyQuil to get back to sleep, only to be woken up again at 6 a.m. when the same guest slammed their door loudly.
Additionally, we encountered another issue when a staff member entered the elevator with us, pressed the button to the basement, and laughed, forcing us to ride down unnecessarily.
These incidents are unacceptable for a high-end hotel and significantly detracted from an otherwise good experience.

Great location and facilities. Receptionist was helpful and very good hospitality. Chi spa was great. Full option and the one I tried was impressed (relax package). Limited restaurants in the hotel but we are in the middle of Chiangmai downtown so there are plenty of choices around. Swimming pool was spacious. I didn't visit the fitness but there is one. Room was good, clean and fully equipped with everything. Bathroom was well-lit and all were great.
Found a used tissue under the bed so had to deduct some cleanliness score. Otherwise, the hotel provides very safe environment and also variety facilities. Came to Chiang Mai during winter and temperature was about 20-degree and 20+ during daytime and kind of still too cold for swimming at their wonderful swimming pool.

Wonderful hotel located approx 10 min walk to night market area.....Movenpick, Marriot and Intercon hotels nearby for additional 5 star dinning options.
Great outdoor pool / bar area with Chi Spa located nearby the pool.
Ordered from the Al Carte menu during both nights of our stay. Food was as expected of this brand...excellent! One minor gripe we had was that Al Carte food is only served in the lobby lounge were the table high / chairs and Xmas table furnishings do lend themselves to a comfortable meal time.
A/C setting in the lobby lounge also needs reviewed as on both nights we along with other guests found it to be extremely cold for a dinning area?
Breakfast is wonderful with excellent Western selection s available.

The bed has bugs… and the housekeeping was not as tidy as other Shangri la that I’ve been to.

All service is good the 2 nd floor restaurant and the house keeping are very helpful. Only china kitchen is not good as when we went than the restaurant is empty but they said wait and next time also they say need reservation as they only make the limited food. For pre booking only. So my question is that than why open the restaurant if no have walk-in mentioned there . Other is good service thanks

hotel facilities and decoration very old….we experienced a broken door and a broken toilet,and can hear sounds next door…have to change room. otherwise the service is good.
