Light Hostel Chiayi recensioner

The location is superb. Just walking distances from the Chiayi Station. The Check in process was smooth. The room is small as expected. There's an elevator for your luggage. Nice place.

The location of the hostel was excellent—just a short walk from the train station and the cultural night market. There were also convenience stores nearby, making shopping and dining very convenient. The common area was well-equipped with a kitchen, fridge, and various utensils, so cooking your own meals was easy. Since guests are required to wear slippers inside, the entire space was kept very clean. They provided body wash and shampoo, but do remember to bring your own towel, toothpaste, and toothbrush. However, there were a few drawbacks. While they did have a luggage lift, I was expecting a passenger elevator because the booking site mentioned an elevator in the facilities, which felt a bit misleading. Additionally, the bathroom lighting was oddly designed—bright in the middle but quite dim at the sink and mirror area. Another minor inconvenience was that, although they provided hangers, there wasn’t anywhere to hang clothes. If you're planning to stay for several days, this could be a bit troublesome. Overall, a great option for short stays, especially with its convenient location and clean facilities.

The location is very convenient to anywhere, like going to train station, bus station, and there are a brunch of restaurant/ grocery or 7 eleven surrounded. The cleanliness here is very good, and the staff here is very friendly.

Nice hotel next to the station. All amenities you need except you have to pay for a towel if you need it. Access was easy and staff very friendly. Beds are on the floor but confortable. Enough plugs to charge your devices.

Stayed here for night before our trip to Alishan. It was walkinh distance to the train station and there’s lots of restaurants in the area.

Walkable distance from the train station and the night market. Worth to mention that they provide luggage storage on the day of check out only until 3pm (I think you might need to pay a small fee if you need to store your luggage for a longer period of time). If you are having a hard time picking where to eat or where to go, they got a raffle to help you decide the location which is kinda cool😆

Decent location between the train station and night market. Rooms are clean, bathroom as well. The staff helped me checkin comfortably and was happy with their treatment. Very good value for money!

There were little options in Chiayi and we found Light Hostel as it was convenient for our late arrival into the city. Facilities were quite standard for a hostel and we appreciated the luggage lift to bring our luggage up. Our room on the 4th floor has a musty smell throughout and there was visible dust and dirt on the thin mattress and on the floor. The staff we encountered were mostly unfriendly and did not initiate any conversations. We also had a hard time figuring out how to check-in as there was no information sent by the hostel up till the day before our arrival and we were arriving out of their staffed hours of 10am - 6pm. There were limited contact options apart from a landline and email, which can be inconvenient for a foreigner on an e-sim! But thankfully they responded quickly to my email, on the morning of arrival. Overall, the experience was quite mediocre and I would choose another place to stay in if I'm back in Chiayi.

location is not that great but not bad just walk a bit from station. room is small but there is shower room inside. staffs are nice, they can speak in English well. I love that they have shoes box for each of room, very convenient and tidy. they also have some amenities on sell if you forgot to bring them with you.

Cheap price and close to train station. Staff are friendly but don't know why Google review some guest wrote that receptionist was rude 😅 In room bathroom door shall change to be more soundproof but this need budget. Recommend 👍

Great Location (close to the Railway station) and the beds were comfy. Hot water available, clean bathroom. The staff was only available for a specific time. For the price okay!

There was a nice food store slightly away from hostel (same row) has very delicious stew items. The hostel itself has no lift, but there was a luggage lift. Simple and spacious ie able to open large luggage in the room. However, the price was really high, almost one of the most expensive stay for the trip. Feel that the price should be lower.
