Alishan House recensioner

Hotel is slightly dated looking and really expensive tbh. But food is generally good and location is convenient enough as it is walkable to important places in Alishan. There is also a shuttle bus that brings you between the hotel, Alishan train station, bus transit station, and visitor centre. A great plus to the service, except many times it’s kinda confusing. There’s no clear signs to indicate where the bus would pick you up etc so we nearly missed it when reaching Alishan train station for the first time. We also missed it a 2nd time when the driver drove past us, probably thinking that there’s no one needing to be picked up. Attached the schedule for the shuttle bus as of April 2025, hope that helps someone. Service from front desk area was mid at best, sometimes good enough, but sometimes they act like they have better things to do than to answer your queries. ESPECIALLY when their shuttle bus services are so confusing and we needed some clarification. Anyway, the service by the restaurant staff and shuttle bus drivers were superb, they were very friendly and efficient. Overall, genuinely not sure how to rate this hotel. Oh we also spotted a monkey right outside our balcony 😅

Amazing location and great service from the staff. The front desk helped to drive us to the Alishan station to catch the train to Chiayi at the end of our stay. Also has an observation deck to view the sea of clouds in the evening. Only complaint is the price.

Big rooms at the historical building. Great buffet dinner and breakfast with loads of selections. Perfect location for hiking and trail walking.

Big room with two king size beds. But small children also charged full price, a little unreasonable Such a big hotel only come with one washing machine and one dryer, always long queue

Hotel was clean and excellent location close to trails within the park. Buffet spread had a variety of food and is excellent.

Excellent location to visit the famous Alishan Notional Park in Taiwan. We use it as a hub to see all the sight seeing spots within the Park.

The service is good, and same as food. There is free transfer from bus station.

Great atmosphere and the hotel offered great service with one of the the best locations to watch sunset! Love the stay!

Staffs were service-minded and very helpful. Good location for sightseeing walking routes. The provded room’s view was not bad allthough the cheapest room option - can see cherry blossoms a bit. Private cars are not allowed to rreach the hotel and hotel shuttles are required. Expensive when considering the overall hotel standard.

Room is spacious, clean and well equipped with toiletries. Walking distance from Shouzhen temple when we asked for direction to Sacred Tree Station back to hotel. There is even shuttle bus from Zhushan station back to hotel but not FOC which we are not aware of. We’re pleased that we can have refund(not full amt) on train ticket and pay for the shuttle bus service. Hotel price is on the high side. Would have stayed one more night to spend more time on forest trails.

The rooftop views were superb. It's great for viewing the sunset. The hotel restaurant provided great buffet breakfast & dinner with many varieties and all were very tasty. The hotel provides free shuttle to & fro between the hotel & the main entrance. Staffs are friendly and helpful too.

Lovely hotel with great breakfast and dinner buffets. Located in the park, makes it very convenient to walk and roam about. Only thing is the hefty price.

Beautiful historical hotel perfectly situated inside Alishan Reacreational Area. The sunset view from the rooftop is breathtaking. The family room in the modern building was very nice with lots of space. The restaurant served good food. A wonderful stay !
