Yingshan Hotel recensioner

I’ve booked room for six pax and room was quite good. Only issue was that the shower/toilet area was narrow and the water splashes out and it can be slippery. Check in is strictly at 3pm and breakfast area is at one of the shop located outside the hotel.

Room is ok only. Toilet is not really clean and abit smelly. But nothing much to complain since there is limited options left.

Everything was fine! They also have a water dispenser what was really good. The room was completely fine.

great location walking distance to Alishan station, everything is tidy and clean. good service, car park is available, no hassle to find parking in the public car park. A small flaws is the bathtub is not fixed properly, there is possibilities to cause accident. Hope this can fix

Sometimes no hot water, other than this is good

Operator told us not to flush toilet paper down into WC, toilet stinks! Breakfast so so….

It was 8 degree  at 5pm but we had to wait until 9pm for room heater to be turned on. Then we were told at 9pm that we had to wait another 20min for the heater to warm up. Do not book this hotel if you visit in winter and cannot withstand the cold. The staff were unfriendly. Room wise, the toilet is tiny and no seat warmer on the toilet bowl. The only pro is the good location, within 5min walk to 7 eleven and Alishan train station.

Hotel was Abit old..booked a quad room..basic . Location was very good.near to the bus shuttle to the park. Near to restaurant. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Most probably will book here again

The room is ok. It's well located. They have a shuttle bus service from-to the bus station but you have to ask for it, calling them. Bear in mind they don't speak English so try your luck or ask somebody to call them for you when you get there. You need to wait for them at the 7-Eleven, or I did so.

It is definitely pricey at NTD5000 a night. However the location is unbeatable, service is commendable and room is clean. It has all the basic amenities like slippers, toothbrush .. etc but no fridge or kettle. So very basic and clean. For this room rate, reckon we can get a pretty decent hotel in the city but this is high up in Alishan and the hotel is a very short walk to the Alishan train station and visitor's centre. All in all, a pleasant stay. Oh, no breakfast cos it is the cherry blossom season.

Great location, the closest hotel to bus station. The staffs are friendly and helpful.

The hotel is on the whole alright. Toilet looked clean but got strange smell!

Overall all good especially the location however the breakfast a bit too simple & very rush to eat.

Location: excellent! It is near to the park entrance, 7-11 and restaurants (less than 5 mins walk). Room: Small but clean. Other reviewers mentioned about sewage smell from the toilet. It is true and we suspect it is due to the wet floor (my daughter slashed water on the floor accidentally). There isn’t any smell when we keep the floor dry. There is a bathtub made of tiles but won’t suggest u have a soak in it as it is looks relatively dirty and tiles bath tub is not the easiest to clean if u want to clean thoroughly the space between tiles! Do note that there is no hot water from 11am-4pm , room heater is turned on when temp drops to 10’degrees. It gets pretty cold when it rains and hence, do bring a jacket. It was rainy days and the temp hits 16-17 degrees and lower should u wish to see the sunrise at Alishan. Amenities: basic amenities in sachets and slippers are provided (very thin slippers). Service: the counter staffs are not the most friendly. They are not rude and will answer your questions. They are generally helpful. The cleaning staff was more polite and friendly as we requested for dry towels (we stayed 2 nights and did not request for room cleaning but needed fresh dry towels). There is a shuttle service to drive u to the Alishan bus station to catch the bus back to chiayi. Do inform the hotel staff earlier. Otherwise u will need to walk to the bus stop , perhaps a 10-15mins walk with your luggage and I think it is a slope Food: breakfast is at the plaza, less than 5 mins from hotel. The shop staff will dish out the dishes for u as requested. There are porridge, noodles, vegs, buns, coffee , preserved pickles/nuts etc to go with the porridge . For lunch and dinner, u can eat at the restaurants around selling Zi char eg fried rice/noodles/chicken/beef etc or hot pots. I would love to eat hotpot in the cold weather but husband is not a fan of hot pot. Personally I find the food too salty for my liking. Alternatively you can grab bento or cup noodles or bread from 7-11. Suggestion: pack some warm clothes, prepare your own slippers/amenities if u are more particular of the quality of the products . Can bring along a water bottle for the walking trials and to refill the bottles! They have water dispensers at each floor.
