Wow… I’m not really sure where to start. We had most of the hotel booked out for our party. There was no parking when we arrived, and there was a man passed out in the bar just after we checked in. We were told there would be more than one twin room — this wasn’t the case. Then we discovered there weren’t enough key cards for our group. You know it’s not a great sign when they leave earplugs by the side of the bed. The music went on until after 3 a.m., and then all the bins were being moved around after 4 a.m. As for the showers — no hot water for our entire party, and a faulty shower door that kept hitting you while freezing cold water came out. Second night: We arrived back after a very busy day only to find that none of our key cards worked, so we had to get them reprogrammed. Some members of our group arrived later to find no one at the front desk and the place completely locked up. They kept calling the out-of-hours number — unsurprisingly, no answer. Three of our party couldn’t access their rooms and ended up having to book into a Premier Inn and return in the morning to collect their belongings. It’s unclear why no one was briefed that the hotel would be completely unmanned, especially considering the fire safety implications. I don’t think I’ve ever been so shocked or felt the need to leave such a strongly worded review. You really need to rethink your business model.
