The hostel is amazing ! I was received in the middle of the night, and the hostess was really nice with me the whole stay. Really great view from the lobby bar. I would definitely recommend it :) 🌸

Everything was good. It's not that hard to find as people write. The location is amazing, everything is pretty close, but when you come back you don't struggle with the crowd. The room was clean with a nice city view. It had a shampoo and shower gel in the shower, free sleepers in the room. The hostel has a laundry that costs 8 RMB. The host was extremely friendly and ready to help with everything. Even helped me to find a location from the photo. She doesn't speak English so every conversation was through the translator. But it was comfortable

We had a very good time in this hostel. It’s easy to find and a good location to explore center Chongqing. The hosts were very friendly and would help with everything you need. The beds are a bit hard but they are not bad. Our room had a beautiful river view. Would come again

I had a good stay at Sonderia! I booked a twin room as a solo traveler. The area is close to Wenshu Monastery and takes 10mins to the train station Line 1 but doesn’t feel that far. Bus stops are just in front of the hostel too. The bar area is a great spot to chill at night and meet other tourists. Nicole at the reception was sooo nice and accommodating!! I was allowed to check out late (2pm instead of 12nn) and she even let me stay at the couch area at the bar so I can rest for an extra hour before my flight. She even bothered to lend me a comforter!! Thank you!! 🤍

Great hostel with kind people working. Clean rooms with good AC, even too good sometimes. Showers with hot water although require some maintenance. Very good location in Chongqing, cannot imagine a better place for low budget travellers.

Had a lovely stay here at Riverside. I stayed in both the budget dorm and deluxe dorm and both are really nice. They are adjusting and learning about westerner travellers and have now added seated toilets in the rooms, really good toilet paper and soap. They even gave me an extra duvet blanket to lie on, was super cozy. Staff were all so lovely and happy to help with anything to make sure you have the best stay. It was very easy to book and they kept in contact throughout my whole stay. The location was in the heart of the city, with a great view of the Yangtze river. It was very clean. It was not a full room, but more like a capsule, but I think it was worth the price. The other travelers were very mindful of the others privacy.

Riverside Hostel was fantastic! The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a cozy atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location by the river was perfect. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay!

A good hostel in a decent location, just a short walk to main attractions. Front desk staff were happy and helpful. Rooms are are although nowhere to store luggage so it just sort of lies around. Still a good place to stay and I would happily stay here again.

Would recommend Accuracy All the pictures and amenities are pretty accurate to what you get Hosting Friendly. They don't speak much English, but it is fine communicating over translate apps. The lady helped answer questions via wechat throughout my stay. Even messaged me to check I was ok when she hadn't seen me which I appreciated as a solo traveller Security Solid security as there's a code on the front door and the room door Travel context I thought September was the start of autumn so it'd be sunny but cooler, but it is so hot! Even though it is in walking distance to a few places like Shibati, Jiefangbei street, subway stations, those 15 minute walks are tough in the heat so either adjust the amount of days you stay to take into account for the fact you can't fit as much in after 5 pm, or travel at a different time of year haha Location The directions on even Chinese maps are awful so beware if you're coming in the hot months and are planning on walking from the nearest subway station. I didn't notice this, but they did message instructions over trip as well so check your messages Accessibility I think it is stairs only (there's not too many). There is a cat roaming about so note that if you're allergic - I only tend to react when I make contact with the hairs and I didn't react whilst I stayed here so it must be pretty clean (there's locks on the room doors so I guess the cat can't roam about too much) Room Mattress pretty thin, but I have found most are like that in Chinese hostels. Comfy pillow and duvet. It would be nice if the curtains were a bit longer to fully block light/the occasional moth from coming underneath, but overall they do the job of maintaining privacy. Was upgraded from 6 bed to 4 bed, both look pretty similar but 4 bed is slightly further from bathroom so I guess less disturbance in the morning, plus it has a vanity area. A few steps down to the 6 bed area, there is a rack for hanging clothes and a balcony Amenities Water and soft drinks for sale (self-service in fridge) Bathroom Shampoo and body wash. Hair dryer. Decent showers. I think there were only squat toilets

I really enjoyed staying here, everything is nearby and it's very cheap, also it's very near like walking distance to the main city center, i would recommend this place

Cheap, clean, comfortable, good social area, a steep walk up to the nearest metro station, kettle but nil else cooking facilities

Good location but not easy to find it. The host is friendly and helpful. They pick me up by motorcycle when I can not find the hostel. They also provide top up Alipay. Basically room is clean and acceptable

Very nice place also with a lot of common space to hang out with lovely people at the reception. Always again
