Avaton Folegandros

We have just stayed three nights at AVATON : It was an absolute delight to stay in the hotel in the best location of the island, Katerina and Artemis were so welcoming, helpful and looking for every details. The room is big simple and has everything you need. It is very clean ; the bath and bed linen are soft and of excellent quality. Breakfast in front of the pool and the breathtaking landscape is just a pure moment of happiness ! To go to the village of Chora, there is a little path and it only takes 10 minutes to walk around and have a nice dinner in the village. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay in the best location in the island just go to Avaton, and Katerina and Artemis will make your vacation incredible !

I booked this hotel with high expectations based on the website information . Unfortunately it does not make it clear that half of the hotel is a building site. I had the end room next to the eyesore that was a partly built massive eyesore . It is the only thing I could see when I sat on my balcony. If this hotel was not so expensive I would not have minded so much , even if it had been made clear there was still building being done but nowhere is it mentioned . The room was really nice , all new but needs some soft lighting as only bright overhead lighting was not relaxing . The breakfasts were average and it was the same items every single day . Again not what I expected from a 5 star hotel . The WIFI was poor and didn’t work for long periods . So overall a very disappointing experience and definitely not worth the nightly rate I paid . Once the rest is finished and if the breakfasts are improved with much more variety and the rooms are made more comfortable and WIFI improved and management are visible instead of just 2 people running everything it would be worth the rates

We spent one week at the hotel Avaton. All has been perfect. The room was elegant and clean. Breakfast was excellent and all services were great. A special thank to Caterina and her doughter, marvellaus owners! Whish to come back ASAP. Alessandro and Rosa

The hotel is in incredible location! The View and the landscape is beautiful! The level of everything is on top! Breakfast was precisely, eating in front of the infinity pool and looking up to amazing view of the bay. The maintenance and cleanliness were perfect! The rooms were excellent! And most important of all Katrina and Artimis they gave us everything we asked for… and made our vacation INCREDIBLE. We want to thank you again so much! This is a fantastic resort, exactly like the pictures. The rooms Are spacious and well equipped, even a computer is available. Everything is so clean and inviting, both in the room and in The pool-area. Lots of options for sunbeds and shade, as you prefer. A short, charming walk into Chora town for restaurants and shots. The Hotel owners and staff go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant stay. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay in Folegandros. Secluded and relaxing, but only a 10 minute walk to the charming and authentic town, Chora. Amazing staff, beautiful rooms with comfy beds and every room has a balcony over looking the Aegean Sea. The pool and terrace are gorgeous with a modern-bohemian design and incredible views. The hospitality was top notch. Artemis and the staff were so accommodating- they booked our ATV’s, arranged our shuttles to the port and ensured we had everything we needed. A true five star experience.
