Super 8 by Wyndham Kansas City

I checked out of the room one night early but the hotel wouldn't allow me to alter my stay. I contacted the third party app and requested for the third night to be removed from my charges, but the hotel denied them approval to do so. The room had a musty smell to it since the air conditioner was leaking water onto the carpet.

We stayed here two nights for our Worlds of Fun visit. There was a stink of paint in our room when we arrived, which was masked by the air conditioner when turned on. We probably should have asked for a different room, but we were out the entire day and only sleeping there, so it didn’t bother us much. While there was, thankfully, daily housekeeping, we did spot some things they missed. Generally we’d say the rooms were clean. Some other reviewers have mentioned that the area is unsafe, but we did not feel that way. It seemed as safe as any other off-the-highway ***** of hotels, and if you are concerned about break-ins to your car, then don’t leave anything in it. As for the staff we encountered, while we would say they were surely, they were not particularly friendly either. Bottom line, the hotel is fine. While we would not go out of our way to stay here again, if the price is right, we would.

Stayed 2 nights for a worlds of fun trip. Super convenient being across the street from the park. Didn't spend too much time in room except for sleeping but was clean and comfortable. No issues and very friendly staff.

This area is a high crime zone. DO NOT NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU ABOUT IT BEING A SECURE AREA. GUEST property is stolen from all Hotels in this area. It is unsafe and is a place where homeless and unsavory individuals hangout. When asked if hotel was safe we were told that it is a totally safe area. So if you want your vehicle stolen by all means this is the place to stay.

room seemed clean but, house keeping missed a few things. found left over face clothes, one on floor as walked in ,another hanging over shower rod. no elevator only 2 floors. breakfast really ******, bad coffee.

My daughter and I frequent World's of Fun amusement park across the street from this hotel. Upon checking into our room, my daughter pointed out multiple burn holes in the bedding and sheets. She then pointed to the shoddy ceiling repair work and all of the food and dirt on the walls in our room. I found a candy wrapper under the sheets of my bed and another next to my daughter's bed. At this point she was in tears. Less than an hour in our room we decided to leave this dump of a hotel. We went to the front desk to request a refund. The lady behind the desk was more concerned about renting our the room than the room issues. Ultimately we paid nearly $150 for a dirty room that we stayed for less than one hour. The staff did not give us a refund. Please stay FAR AWAY from this place. Your better off finding a quiet place under a bridge and camping out for a night. This trip to world's of fun was a nightmare thanks to this garbage hotel.

This was a good experience. Motel is simple, clean and cozy. It was located conveniently near the Chiefs stadium and was around a variety of food restaurants. Katie was very professional and friendly, she assisted us with any extras that we had forgotten at home, making the stay comfortable and relaxed.

There’s not a whole lot I can complain about here, as I got the hot tub suite marked down for only like $80 per night, which was nice. The room was nice and clean, as was the entire property. The location was great too, right by an amusement park and only about 10 minutes from a Royals game. There were two very minor setbacks. First, for both the shower and the hot tub, it took a while (about 5 minutes) for the water to get hot. Second, the TV in my room had some slight damage to the screen. Neither of these things were particularly bothersome to me, but might be to others. But overall I was highly satisfied, and the staff was very friendly as well. 8/10, would recommend.

It's a three star hotel. A lot of truckers and smells like smoke and lemon air freshener. Beds were comfy and room was clean. Be careful around the staff, one lady tried to pick a fight with me when she thought I was saying negative things about the hotel's remodeling efforts when I was explaining to my son all of the things they had improved/done a good job with.
