A very welcoming host with a warm accommodation located at a quiet yet convenient environment. We had a very peaceful stay. The nearby Thai restaurant was one of the high lights too! Thank you.

A very peculiar check in! Pub not open and was told it wouldn’t open until 6 and then only till 8 only 1 lager and Guinness on tap, all the rest were bottles. No breakfast and definitely no food in the evening. We had the room with the balcony which you had to climb on,new really steep stairs with new wood and my husband got a splinter. The room had a strange old smell, reminiscent of stale furniture. The tv was about 15 x 12 inches. The pillows were the most disgustingy colour of yellow, we didn’t want to check the mattress. I slept in my clothes. Unluckily!! We had a family emergency for which we had to leave before the second night but we were still charged for 2 nights. At £145.00 a night we suggest you look elsewhere and find something a whole lot nicer

This property has so much potential! Be careful with the dates of reviews you read as the inn is in dire need of renovation and cleaning. Our room was tiny. Door didn’t work properly. Shower was rusty. We didn’t even use it. WiFi doesn’t work. No restaurant. All of which are advertised. Worst stay of our trip.

Our stay at the Talbot Inn was fantastic. Ann & David were very friendly and accommodating from the minute we arrived. Rooms are stylish and clean. Parking is ideal too. The location is also a short walk from Cirencester town centre which is our favourite part of the Cotswolds. This hotel ticked all the boxes and we will definitely be returning.

We booked The Talbot as we like staying in Pubs for the social aspect but The Pub wasn’t open at all during our visit and suspect it isn’t any longer. The little time we spent with our hosts showed they were very friendly nice people although on arrival we felt we were being dissuaded from booking breakfast. Room 3 was clean and quite large but the steep wooden staircase to reach it was dilapidated and very uncomfortable to climb up and down. Could be a big problem for some people. Bed not particularly comfortable either. Get the impression it is being run down and no longer having any investment in it. Have to say location is great.

Lovely old Inn. Anne and David are great hosts. Very pleasant and helpful. Comfy beds , clean rooms and the centre of town just a short walk away, cooked breakfasts were great, so much choice of food. Pretty villages to visit. Scenery beautiful. Had a great time
