7 Bell's House

When we checked in, we were told that we had to pay a city tax of €40 cash. We did not receive a receipt. This was my first problem. I did not feel comfortable with this, especially that they were insisting on cash. Since then we have paid city taxes of no more than two or three euros throughout our travels in Italy. The second thing was that when I went to the washroom, there was no water to wash my hands, my husband went out and told them at the front desk and they said it was because people were working on the street and they would remedy it. Within a few minutes, the water came back on no problem. We understand things like this happening however the next morning, I was in the shower , and turned the water on again no water. I was not very happy with this. I had to get out of the shower get dressed go to the front desk and again the water magically came on. I think they were shutting the water off and it had nothing to do with the people working on the street , I am not a deceptive person and I do not other people deceiving me. I would not recommend this place.

Stefano was a great host! The property was conveniently located to shops and dining; transfer to our cruise ship the next day was easy and convenient. I recommend this place and would visit again if the chance ever comes up.

Although we only stayed 1 night and arrived well after check-in hours Adrian was helpful with our stay getting over hurdles as our phone/wifi was playing up. Once in our room it was a pleasant surprise, spacious, clean and quiet. We would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved the spacious room we stayed in. Very nicely air conditioned, however , when you take your key card out of the slot to go outside, it shuts off all power to the room including AC. We did have an issue with the shower, no hot water and very little water pressure. But the manager was concerned about the issue and said he would deal with it asap . Excellent location to shops and restaurants, and only a 5 minute walk to the cruise ship bus pickup stop

Great location, The host Stefano was very kind and helpful . Room was clean with great air conditioning . Nice breakfast in the morning . Book early because the place books up early . I wish we could stay longer . Definitely will back on our next cruise . Thank you Stefano for your hospitality.

Loved this bnb. Perfect for our stay prior to boarding a cruise. It's a little walk to where the cruise bus picks you up but not bad. The area was busy but close to restaurants. The hot croissant in the morning was delicious.

I dont know where to start with a review for 7 Bells. Stefano was the nicest and most helpful person we met while in Italy. Any question we asked him he answered and helped us get around the area. 7 bells is very clean, quaint and perfect for any person/s. Stefano made us tea, coffee and croissants. The blood orange juice was absolutely delicious. He always had a smile and pleasant conversation. We feel like we made a new life long friend.

I thought the location was excellent for sight seeing and boarding a cruise. There was a great family restaurant just around the corner the I would highly recommend-Cosamangiooggi Cucina Pop. I would highly recommend getting to the hotel before 2:00 p.m. or have a way to communicate with the host. walking around the town was very nice and lots of locals. Walking distance to the bus to take you to the cruise port and walking to train station.

Stefano (host) was so helpful and responsive. He helped us secure airport transfers from FCO to the door of 7 Bells Guest House, and recommended a great local restaurant for our first dinner in Civitavecchia. We had done Rome a few times in the past, so opted to stay in the coastal town for a couple of days prior to our cruise. We were happy with our decision. It’s a lovely small city with a tremendous number of restaurants and a few lovely cultural attractions in easy walking distance. Excellent low-key experience to feel settled prior to cruise departure. The accommodations at the guest house were comfortable and felt safe and secure. I would stay again. We appreciated Stefano’s hospitality ! Tip: ask to book transportation to the cruise terminal. It’s close by, but with luggage and getting dropped off right in front of the terminal (vs taking the cruiseport shuttle ) it is definitely worth the cost!
