We will not stay here again, my husband is in a wheelchair and he called before making the booking to state his requirements for his disability. Nothing was as promised ,the handrails are to high and not placed correctly, he could not even shower. We had a family emergency and had to leave a day early even after explaining all of this they still charged us for the outstanding amount of the night we did not occupy the unit. We ordered dinner in the room as there were steps to the dining room (with a wheelchair) ?? It was the most unpleasant soup and chicken ever had,I had to sit on the bed to eat as the chairs Were low and uncomfortable. Will never go there again!

good day, we spend two nights at the yellow aloe guesthouse and really enjoyed it. the rooms were spacious and the facilities great. a real highlight was the staff - always helpful and friendly. breakfast was great. we went for a hike and thus had to leave earlier but still received breakfast - fantastic. the food was also delicious. the best butter chicken with rice i had. really great!

Cute little oasis
Very pretty gardens . Our garden cottage was a bit dark and the lighting poor but very nicely furnished . The breakfast was delightful. A pretty oasis in the centre of Clanwilliam .

Quirky, with beauiful gardens
A lovely quirky guest house, very good breakfast. No dinner on the premises but very good places nearby. Lovely hosts, lots of hot water. Would return

We stayed here for 3 nights (we had also stayed on a previous occasion) & had a very enjoyable visit. We would particularly thank Michel who was able to move our booking by a day when our overnight connection was delayed & also Cheryl who was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in providing advice on the best locations for flower viewing. The guest house is charmingly rustic with the most lovely gardens and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the Clanwilliam area.

BEST FOR GROUPS IN SEASON
RECEPTION GOOD, Stairs a bit difficult to get luggage up, but help at hand, room key doesnot fit well, Owner hands on .Excellent bed mattress nice and firm. Could do with more modern plug points for mobile and laptops. Good free internet. BIG tour GROUPS tend to get better service than solos.

In 2018 we were for the first time at this lovely Guest House. And again we are enthusiastic. The warm welcome from Michel, the excellent rooms in the historic longhouse made us happy again. Not to forget the nice breakfast at the veranda. For us Yellow is the perfect safe place in the centre of Town on our way between self catering cottages in the Cederbergen.

The Secret Garden
This guest house is a real jewel, with comfortable and quiet rooms embedded in a spectacular garden. When you sit down for the excellent breakfast on the porch, among the plants and trees with weaver bird nests and song birds at the many small fountains which are distributed throughout the garden, and then take a refreshing dip in one of several small pools, you may never want to leave. Now that we have discovered this magic place, we are certain to make this a stop on future trips.

The omelettes we ordered were very dry and tasteless. My friend's one even looked like a pancake. The filling needed salt and spices. i ordered olive oil I for my toast but it smelled musky. The marmelade was good but the strawberry jam was house-brand jam bought from the local supermarket. Also the service was very slow
