Beechwood Inn

We stayed a night at this inn, and the owners have done a fabulous job of updating it. They have paid attention to every small detail. The rooms were lovely, the owners were warm and inviting, and breakfast was wonderful. If you get a chance, book a stay here.

We booked a mid-week overnight stay at Beechwood Inn with 2 other couples coupled with an amazing 4 course wine dinner curated by a local chef. Marlon & Eli are consummate hosts starting with a tour of their magnificent inn and pre-dinner cocktail reception. The property is everything you long for when visiting the Northeast GA mountains. Your stress will evaporate as soon as you enter the front porch. Once inside this meticulously appointed inn you’ll feel it’s historic charm from the sitting rooms to the comfy suites upstairs. Our mid-week stay provided a safe gathering spot for us to connect with friends, enjoy great food & wine over dinner and cap our stay with an amazing breakfast. Beechwood Inn has my highest recommendation for a stay of any length in Clayton, GA!

an excellent bed and breakfast, the host and hostess (marlon and Eli were amazing and never to busy to chat and have a laugh with. we had a large group an they accomadated all of us without a problem. the food was excellent as was the room. very clean and comfortable. highly recommended and look forward to going back soon.

Staying at the Beechwood Inn felt like we were staying at a friend’s house. Loved sitting and talking on the front porch with Eli and another couple then chatting with Marlon the next morning at breakfast. They did a fantastic job updating and decorating the Inn. We will be sure to return someday when our travels take us back to Clayton.

The host couple Eli and Marlon go out of their way to make you feel special. They really understand the meaning of delight the customer. The breakfast food is superb. The wine on the deck in evening. Offering to carry luggage. They really know the area making good recommendations. And they’ve only been the owners since December. They are putting much work into this old Inn and it shows ; with more planned. The room was comfortable and clean. The location is only a short distance from main road. It is quiet and certainly quaint. We will return again, hopefully in the fall.

I didn't know what to expect when I pulled into the Beechwood Inn but quickly learned a little history of the place from Eli and Marlon. It has pretty much continuously been an inn since 1922. Eli and Marlon purchased the inn in December of 2021 and they quickly put their imprint on the place. The rooms are charming (and spacious for an old inn). It has been remodeled and modernized over the years but still keeps its 20's charm. Eli and Marlon are the perfect hosts. They are excited about the inn and make the guests feel comfortable and at home. They offer a wine hour at 5:30 pm and breakfast is from 8-9 am every morning and trust me, it's worth it. Eli made some delicious breakfasts that went above and beyond what most inns would offer. Marlon made sure you had plenty of coffee (and wine). They are an interesting couple and really like to interact with the guests. They make you feel like they are inviting you into their home. You definitely cannot go wrong staying here. I think it is one of the top 10 inns I've stayed in over the years. I predict even greater things for it and Eli and Marlon.
