Clearwater Valley Resort

Big campsite (late check-in possible and still open space) with warm showers and a laundry room (washer 3 Dollar, Dryer 4,50). Dean was an awesome host - as he found out that we would sleep in the car, he gave us an upgrade to a wooden cabin for free and additional blankets/pillows for the night. He also took us on a bear patrole at night around the campsite and we felt really safe! We stayed two nights and would come back for sure It's only one hour away from the Helmcken Falls and many other nice trails on the way - Dean will give you recommendations for sure

We had a family reunion here and there were all kinds of great accommodations to choose from. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed, even cool as it was 30 degrees! Great catered dinner in a lovely pagoda on the water. Due to fires some of our group had to cancel and management was very compassionate and flexible with refunds. Thank you. Also let us use the pagoda for our potluck. Very accommodating and helpful staff. Great renovations since last visit. Highly recommend this facility! We will be back.

Campground facilities need major cleaning. Ladies washroom has 2 ‘working’ toilets, one was completely clogged, the other stall door would not open. Both sinks were filthy. 2 showers adequate but need to be cleaned. Place has potential but needs attention.

Great Facility. Met the owner! Pool was a blast. 35 degrees out. Enjoyed the Wings and Homecut Fries. Awesome they have a full service facility. Our cabin was great!! And importantly cool in this temp. This area has lots of great hikes! We had fun playing the 18 hole mini golf that was free. Great Value. We booked on ******* and will certainly be stopping here instead of blue river on our way to Kelowna. We walked the campground and seems cozy!

We got a cute little cabin. But first of all.. Just arrived and hungry. I swear they had the best hot wings and fries. So we ate. Nice Pub. Very friendly. Sports bar-like TVs . Anyways. We were celebrating our Family members Graduation. We had full use of the pond Gazebo. So big we used only half. The owner is so nice. Lots of information on the area. A fixture of the community. And we had a great experience. Great prices and good food. Great place to start your tour or just camp. Very relaxed and everyone smiles. And you are right at the entrance to Wells Gray Park. Don't be put off by the construction on the road on the way in.... We stayed here in a little bungalow (about the square footage of a regular hotel room) for two nights on our way to and from Jasper National Park. The bungalow was cozy and offered everything we needed, including a microwave, refrigerator, full bathroom, heating and ac, table and chairs, Nespresso coffee maker, and a comfortable bed. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. We were situated on a pond with a nice fountain and a large gazebo on a dock. The resort also has a heated swimming pool and restaurant. Other types of accommodations are also available, such as camping spots, log cabins, and larger duplex-style buildings with larger rooms. I strolled around the property and could imagine families as well as couples really enjoying everything it has to offer. Staff were courteous and helpful. We didn’t try the restaurant, but it looked promising. The resort is just off the road to Wells Gray Provincial Park and we did take the time to hike to Dawson Falls, one of the spectacular waterfalls in the park.

We made a reservation to stay in our camper. The site was very easy to find and the campground was clean and spacious, The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their fresh ground coffee is wonderful. The service and site was so good we stayed again on our way home. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant. The portions are large and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning.

Value for the dollar is top marks. The grounds are super relaxing, well treed and feels very private, and very quiet. There's a firepit and tables beside the hotel rooms and the pond for guests to use, the kids loved it. Don't have to leave anywhere for an excellent Dinner on site. They even give the kids fish food to feed the Koi in the big pond. Excellent place for a family stop!

Fantastic stay! Dean's private tour was a hit, showing us stunning waterfalls and wilderness. The cabin was clean, quiet, and cozy. Perfect for our family. The restaurant and bar is FUN for everyone! Can't wait to return soon if there's room!
