Audleys Wood Hotel, Basingstoke

Christina and her team went above and beyond for my friends and family! Although we didn't have our wedding there, the hotel hosted a fantastic meal for my family the night before my wedding in the Brasserie. The food was out of this world! On the morning of the wedding, the hotel made sure that my guests who were staying that evening were able to have an early check in before attending the wedding. The rooms were spacious, especially our honeymoon suite! The buffet breakfast was also top notch, making our wedding that bit more magical. Thank you so much!

Wow!!! What a pleasurable stay, every time. Gorgeous location with lovely scenery. Amazing architecture. Super friendly staff who go the extra mile with a smile. Quality food with impeccable service. We always end up staying an extra night.

We had a 2 night stay here for my birthday, we had a voucher from my husbands boss for £250 ,which we used for the accommodation, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the room and the staff were all lovely , I had a birthday card and some chocolates in our room when they found out it was my birthday, its surrounded by beautiful countryside and was so peaceful and quiet . The only downside of our stay was the cost of the food and the drinks ! We had two 3 course meals on the Saturday and Sunday , . We were astounded by the cost of the alcohol the first glass of wine I had on arrival was £19 !!! I then found a cheaper wine that was £12! That was I think the cheapest class , so I only allowed myself 2 glasses in the evening due to the cost, my husband had San Miguel, they were £6.50 a glass !! When we checked out today we had a bill of £379 !! This was for 2 meals and drinks ( I would usually have had more to drink but I refused to pay these extortionate prices !! We would not have stayed here If we'd not been given a voucher for the accommodation, . For £379 we could have had a week away!! We had a lovely time but this has definitely put a damper on it !!

Just returned from a couple of nights at Audleys Wood. We had a lovely quiet weekend away. We visited the Hotel many years ago and were interested to see how it had stood the test of time. We were not disappointed! The Hotel has a very cosy feel to it even although it was catering for a pre planned event in the pavilion. There was more than enough staff to cater in the Hotel and we noticed no drop in standards. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful from checking in to leaving. A special mention to Valentine and Sebastian for their kindness and professionalism. Catering for our every need at dinner and earlier drinks. All the staff at breakfast were fantastic. Many thanks! Our room was very quiet and spacious with a welcome tray of biscuits, tea, Coffee and hot chocolate. Water was also provided chilled in the fridge with fresh milk. Our bathroom was large and very well appointed and clean. There was also plenty of parking available and an overflow lot as well just in case. Overall a lovely couple of days, made even better by the kindness of the staff and the beautiful weather. We will return in the future and say hello!

Needed a serious lie down in nice surroundings. Lovely three-day stay. Staff lovely and attentive and ensure that you have everything you need. In particular, thanks to Kai and Stephanie. Beautiful grounds, lovely rooms with very comfortable beds. Just what the doctor ordered!

Came here as a treat to celebrate my friend’s birthday (was in April, took us a while to get around to booking) The hotel looked wonderful and majestic. There were only a couple of other ‘couples’ having afternoon tea so the large dinning room we were sat down in to have ours, felt less than intimate. I wonder if they have a smaller room with armchairs that could be used. Lovely selection of teas although served in very utilitarian tea pots. On the whole the food was scrummy and looked lovely, except for the scones which managed to be both slightly burnt on outside but oddly undercooked inside. When this was pointed out fresh ones were baked for us which we appreciated. The service was faultless and despite things mentioned I felt it deserved the stars given.
