Satta Lodge

Little gem of a place hidden away at the top of a fairly rough track. Very walkable to sodas and even the supermarket but if you’re staying here you’ve probably got a car anyway. Is exactly how it’s shown on the website. Clean, well managed, secure and private. Bryan organised a tour for us with Ariel to visit the Yorkin community. Highly recommend. It was really informative and very welcoming plus exciting to get there via dug out canoe! Might sound expensive but by the time you leave you realise you would probably have paid more to ensure their BriBri culture survives. The accommodation itself was 100% comfortable and everything had been thought of, including umbrellas for those early morning downpours! The morning alarm from the Howler monkeys was certainly a wake up call but if you’re here for a few days - which you definitely should be - then you get used to all the sounds pretty quickly! Would definitely return if we ever came back.

I really cannot recommend this place enough. I had high expectations after looking it up online, but reality was even better than the instagram pictures I had seen. Paola gave us a warm welcoming upon arrival and helped us get settled. Throughout our stay, communication was excellent and both Raphaël and Paola were very helpful (and super quick to reply on whatsapp)! I have severe food allergies which can cause some worry sometimes, but I felt very safe and well taken care of at Satta lodge. The place is beautiful, discrete, luxurious in a simple way, and unique. A handful bungalows in a beautiful jungle garden makes it ideal for couples. Paola and Raphaël seem to have thought of everything (the flashlight really came in handy when walking the dark path down to the main road at night). I cannot think of anything to improve. Thank you! Satta Lodge seemed too good to be true & once we arrived it was even better! Private bungalows in the jungle that are open-aired & netted; listening to the jungle all night and the monkeys in the morning was such a treat. The bungalow was fully equipped with towels, shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper, a hair dryer, a net around the bed (if needed, we never used), a mini-fridge, and a safe. The lodge was modern & the grounds were well-kept & beautiful. We included breakfast in our stay & it was great! 3 options: ham/cheese/egg, smoothie bowl, or crepes. Coffee/tea, bread, butter/jam, and a mini smoothie were provided with breakfast, as well. The owners & communication before our stay and during was great; they provided recommendations for beaches, restaurants, and things to do. We highly recommend this lodge & can't wait to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Satta Lodge and can recommend it 100%. The owners are super helpful and friendly and have created a peaceful, quiet and relaxing atmosphere in the middle of the jungle, but still close to the beautiful beaches around. Great restaurants and the Jaguar Rescue Center are very nearby. The bungalows and common area are new, equipped with everything that you need and super comfy! Breakfast is amazing and xou can choose from three different options, including French Crepes. We were lucky to see Howler Monkeys, Iguanas and frogs on site! We cannot recommend Satta Lodge enough, we will definitely come back!

Alojamiento en bungalows. Excel·lents sitio que te permite disfrutar de las playas de Puerto Viejo, Cocles y Punta Uva, además de adentrarte en la preciosa jungla y dormir en ella. Tuvimos visita de monos congos. La limpieza de todo es buena, y la atención por parte del personal exquisita. El desayuno muy completo. No dudes en elegir si quieres sentirte parte de la jungla caribeña. Gracias Rafael.

Nos alojamos dos noches. El lugar es súper tranquilo, solo tienen dos o tres alojamientos por lo que lo más normal es que estés habitualmente solo. La piscina es una maravilla, totalmente inmersa en la selva, los aulladores y las ranas son la banda sonora de los amaneceres. Debemos considerar que no se encuentra en el centro de Puerto Viejo por lo que para ir volver de las zonas más “turísticas” se necesita coche. El alojamiento está impoluto. Como mejora podrían ser camas un poco más grandes para personas más altas.
