Really who goes to Coyhaique in Winter? We did because we are trying to ski all of the ski areas in South America. We had the place to ourselves and enjoyed great personal service. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the region. It is just a couple of minutes out of town. Their sign is a little hard to see since it sets back a few feet from the roadway. The wood tones and tiles that they used make you feel like you are in a natural setting. I also liked there not being any television. The WiFi was broken when we arrived but Ruth had it fixed two days later and let us use the connection down by her house until it was repaired. If you are an animal lover like I am you will be glad to know that Ruth started a SPCA in the town and that says a lot to me about the kind of person she is. The town is a good staging point for some great scenery, but the infrastructure and dinning choices are few and far between in the city.

Leaving this charming hotel early this morning was difficult. Our room was great. The quality of the bed was perfect. We have enjoyed very much from the shower. Great breakfast & fantastic restaurant. Behind this masgic place stands Ruth. The Dinamo of this hotel.

Beautiful hotel with big great rooms in a quiet garden! A good breakfast buffet. The only downside is that no hotel employee is wearing a protective mask, or any other kind of protection, during the Covid-19 pandemic. When confronted, the answer is that they are being tested and therefore do not need a protection (not even in the kitchen/buffet). The signs clearly state that the guests need to wear masks (as the whole country does), but not the employee. A little lack of respect towards the guest in our opinion.
