It was a big room in a hotel with a long history. It is located a bit far from the coach station, 20 minutes on foot. However, the walking street is just beside the hotel and the river view is a plus. The breakfast was decent.

Certainly! Here’s a review in English: The hotel is undeniably old, with antique furniture and only six channels on the TV. However, this is exactly what gives it its unique charm and atmosphere. Staying here feels like stepping back in time—almost like being a count in a historic mansion. If you appreciate character and ambiance over modern luxury, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Nice and central location on the river side within walking distance to the train station, public transportation, historic monuments, town centre and lots of coffees, bars and restaurants. The building is a trip to a bygone era, an Art Nouveau, Art Decó style, that has seen better days but, nevertheless, retains all the character, charm and grace of an old lady. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the Mondego River with wonderful views, it was spacious, and had a comfortable bed. Excellent buffet breakfast served in a grand dining room. Very friendly staff. We'll undoubtedly come back!

have been relocated to this hotel and the hotel is far from being good. A very aged hotel, smelly, rooms very old with dust, we found many spiders, one big in the bathroom and another already inside of our luggage.

Hotel Astoria embodies 1920 chic French decor. Much of that fashion remains in tact, but in fairness, also reflects its age. The hotel's location right on the river provides easy access to most of Coimbra. However, the city is essentialy a giant hill, so a 10 mins walk along a steep slope may be a significant inconvenience to many. The staff is extremly friendly and works hard to provide a comfortable stay. There is no swimming pool and guests may want to bring some additional amendities (body lotion). Those may have been available, I never bother asking. Wifi is only available in public areas. Easy to check emails but not great for working in the room. Will definitely consider another stay if the price is competitive to other hotels.

The good things: nice architecture, excelent location, cleanliness, good breakfast, kind people in reception. Not so good: needs large maintenance in walls, woods, stairs, carpets and general renovation.

Hotel with a lot of charm and history, very beautiful building, with new art, good breakfast, excellent location, very friendly staff, good and wide bed. I just wish they would remove the carpet in the rooms and show the wooden floor that appears to be underneath. There is no wifi in the room. There is no wifi in the room. There is no wifi in the room. There is limited and weak wifi at the lobby. The room was okay. Toilet a bit old, water goes slowly. It is a very very old hotel, outside is beautiful and our room has a balcony and the view is stunning. There is one lift in only. The lift was out of order for 1 hour in the morning I can see people carrying luggage by stairs. The hotel needs maintenance.

Very beutiful hotel and kind staff

Hotel is very nice. Historical building, amazing views, very professional personnel. Problem is there’s no parking of the hotel but there’s a public parking across the river. Our room had a bathroom mirror broke in two. That wasn’t nice. Apart from that hotel is worthy. Breakfast is good as well.

Adorei. O atendimento muito profissional. O prédio é lindo. O meu quarto tinha uma vista espetacular sobre o rio Mondego. Toda a decoração e pormenores do hotel transportam-nos para os anos 20, uma verdadeira viagem no tempo. Os móveis são os originais mas muito bem estimados. O elevador, a sala de estar e de leitura, a porta giratória, o salão de chá onde é servido o pequeno almoço, tudo nos transporta para o passado luxuoso dos anos 20. Quem gosta de coisas antigas e de se sentir transportado no tempo, vai adorar. A temperatura está sempre muito agradável e a cama é confortável. O pequeno almoço tinha uma boa variedade de escolha.

Vista Fantástica, atendimento muito bom, casas de banho espaçosas com banheira.

Hotel położony jest bardzo blisko dworca kolejowego Coimbra A, więc podróżując publicznym transportem nie ma najmniejszego problemu aby dotrzeć do hotelu. Hotel znajduje się na skraju starego miasta z jego najważniejszymi atrakcjami, więc dojście do nich nie stanowi najmniejszego problemu. W pobliżu znajdują się też różne sklepy i restauracje. Położenie hotelu jest więc idealne! Pomimo tego, że okno naszego pokoju wychodziło na ruchliwą ulicę, to do pokoju nie docierały hałasy, które mogłyby zakłócać sen po intensywnym zwiedzaniu miasta. Pokój który zajmowaliśmy był duży, dobrze urządzony, znajdowały się tam meble mające ponad sto lat! ale były w doskonałym stanie! No i przede wszystkim pokój jak i wszystkie części wspólne były niesamowicie czyste, a łóżka bardzo wygodne! Hotel z jego wnętrzem "z epoki" jest super wyborem dla miłośników antyków! Nie tylko pokój, ale także wszystkie części wspólne (z windą na czele!) zrobił na nas - jako miłośników staroci i antyków - bardzo pozytywne wrażenie :-) Bardzo smakowało nam śniadanie: wszystko było świeże i bardzo smaczne! No i na koniec duży plus dla obsługi hotelu! Panie w recepcji były super!!!!!!!! Również obsługa w restauracji podczas śniadania i obsługa sprzątająca zasługują na duże słowa uznania :-) Tak więc z naszego doświadczenia POLECAM Hotel Astoria :-)
