Located near the South Gate entrance .. staff and manager was friendly room are big .. with heater and aircon .. out door and in door bath room .. very nice deco of the room . Worth every dollar spend .. dinner was nice just a bit on the high side .. with the variety of food .. any way 10/10

We are so glad to have stayed at such a wonderful place with such friendly people! An outdoor shower with a nice view at the scenery is a great start for a safari tour through Addo. After the tour, you can relax in the generous rooms. The atmosphere at dinner in the huge building is excellent, with tasty food (excellent braai) and a cosy atmosphere. So friendly stuff 🫶🏼

A fantastic place, perfectly suited for families, with a spacious and comfortable room equipped with every imaginable amenity. The bed linen and towels were of outstanding quality. We experienced a brief load shedding– something very common in South Africa – but the hosts went above and beyond to make it barely noticeable. A lovely bonus: the bath was perfect for the kids, and the rock shower was a real treat for the adults! Dinner and breakfast were simply fabulous – both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. And what can we say about the welcome!the staff was fantastic, the host was exceptionally kind – warm, attentive, full of great advice, and always available. We left this little paradise with great reluctance. A place truly deserving of its 4 stars – if not more!

My husband and I stayed at Elephants Footprint Lodge for a short breakaway from our business and family life. Henry and his team were absolutely wonderful and so friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was beautiful, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The lodge is ideally placed for guests to access Addo Elephant National Park and this we did, having a fabulous time in the park and enjoying some great wildlife sightings. We would certainly recommend Elephants Footprint Lodge and wouldn't hesitate to return. Thanks to Henry, Veronique and all the team for looking after us!

We stayed as a large family group of six adults and four children. The rooms were equipped with everything we needed, and the staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating. Elephants Footprint Lodge is conveniently located just 2 km from the Matyholweni Gate, which made it ideal for us—we could easily return to the lodge at midday to give the children a break from game drives. While I’d describe the rooms as fairly average for now, it’s clear that the lodge is under new management and exciting upgrades are on the way. That said, there’s absolutely nothing average about the management and staff—their warmth and hospitality truly made our stay special.

What a fantastic find for our 2 night stay close to Addo National Park. From the warm welcome to the gourmet three course dinner with friendly service. The rooms exceeded expectations with the African theme and all the amenities and facilities one would expect of a four star graded lodge. It took us just 5 minutes to drive to the southern entrance to Addo, so we were able to get into the park without driving along the R335. The safe parking and quiet location were also a plus.

Everything was superb. From the accommodation to the staff and owner and the breakfast. I would just suggest better lighting for the rooms and sorting out the wifi which was not working when we visited.
