Always a pleasure spending the weekend at the Brown Trout,maybe thats the reason we keep returning ever year. Bedrooms are large.beautifully decorated and showers top class.Have never had a bad meal and always enjoy the breakfast range in the mornings served to lunchtime for those who like to sleep late.Always something to please on the evening menu and the food is outstanding as usual. Nice atmosphere in the bar/lounge area with its log burners,tv,s and friendly staff serving the drinks. Looking forward to our next visit and well done Jane on your top class establishment.

Very welcoming and comfortable. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. We had a room overlooking the golf course, roomy with a lovely view. Food in the restaurant was of a high standard both for breakfast and dinner. There is a nice walk around the outside of the grounds which was good to do before breakfast

I have just returned from an overnight stay with friends at the Brown Trout, which certainly deserves much more than the three stars it's awarded. The rooms and cottages, which have recently been refurbished, are well appointed and extremely comfortable. We all enjoyed an excellent evening meal and hearty breakfast in the morning. The staff were particularly friendly and efficient and despite the restaurant and bar being very busy, we were served quickly with no fuss. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, set as it is, in a lovely wooded area leading down onto the River Bann. It also has a nine hole golf course set within it's grounds if you fancy a round of golf. We will most certainly return to enjoy the "Brown Trout experience".

This is just to say that we found the customer service in the restaurant recently to be exceptional and unexpected. I won't go into the details but the way our particular "situation" was dealt with went above and beyond. Thankyou from us both

Can’t recommend this place enough. I’ve stayed here a few times now and couldn’t fault it in the slightest. The rooms are huge, super comfy beds, big bathrooms, spotlessly clean and in a beautiful quiet location. The food in the restaurant is top class and my favourite area is the bar. Lovely atmosphere and the woodburner and open fire give a lovely cosy feel. Perfect for a pint or glass of wine after enjoying a day out on the north coast. Extra bonus points for breakfast being served up until 12pm. Again it’s all top quality food and very tasty. The staff here really make it the best experience. They go the extra mile and are so friendly and accommodating. Something that lacks in many of the more corporate feeling hotels. We did the two nights B&B with one evening meal and it works out very reasonable for a stay at such a nice place. Can’t wait for my next stay.

Room spacious and bed comfortable. Check in time from 4 pm. Check out until 11 am with breakfast served up until Noon. Popular location with booking advisable for dinner. Food fine. Tables for two can be cramped and/or have limited privacy. WiFi variable. Roofed walkway to Courtyard Rooms but sides exposed to the elements.

Stayed in one of the cottages and they're fantastic. Room was pet friendly with two good size beds and very clean. Nice view of the Golf course even in February. Food and staff and the Guinness were amazing. Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again.

Our second visit inside 2 weeks. For relaxation, warm welcome, delicious dinners and breakfast, comfortable clean bedrooms.. look no further. We have booked for March already. Thank you all once again for such wonderful hospitality. Just amazing.

2nd visit and won't be the last. This was a wee christmas treat. And what a treat. It is a gem. Walking in to be greeted with an open fire, relaxed atmosphere guaranteed a lovely stay. We stayed in the hotel this time, and the room was spotless, so comfortable and cosy. We had a 3 course meal which was sensational. Alex the head chef is quite frankly a legend! Also a MASSIVE thanks to Jane and all the wonderful staff for making our latest stay so special and relaxing. 3rd trip will be very very soon..
