Can’t recommend this place enough. I’ve stayed here a few times now and couldn’t fault it in the slightest. The rooms are huge, super comfy beds, big bathrooms, spotlessly clean and in a beautiful quiet location. The food in the restaurant is top class and my favourite area is the bar. Lovely atmosphere and the woodburner and open fire give a lovely cosy feel. Perfect for a pint or glass of wine after enjoying a day out on the north coast. Extra bonus points for breakfast being served up until 12pm. Again it’s all top quality food and very tasty. The staff here really make it the best experience. They go the extra mile and are so friendly and accommodating. Something that lacks in many of the more corporate feeling hotels. We did the two nights B&B with one evening meal and it works out very reasonable for a stay at such a nice place. Can’t wait for my next stay.

Room spacious and bed comfortable. Check in time from 4 pm. Check out until 11 am with breakfast served up until Noon. Popular location with booking advisable for dinner. Food fine. Tables for two can be cramped and/or have limited privacy. WiFi variable. Roofed walkway to Courtyard Rooms but sides exposed to the elements.

Stayed in one of the cottages and they're fantastic. Room was pet friendly with two good size beds and very clean. Nice view of the Golf course even in February. Food and staff and the Guinness were amazing. Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again.

Our second visit inside 2 weeks. For relaxation, warm welcome, delicious dinners and breakfast, comfortable clean bedrooms.. look no further. We have booked for March already. Thank you all once again for such wonderful hospitality. Just amazing.

2nd visit and won't be the last. This was a wee christmas treat. And what a treat. It is a gem. Walking in to be greeted with an open fire, relaxed atmosphere guaranteed a lovely stay. We stayed in the hotel this time, and the room was spotless, so comfortable and cosy. We had a 3 course meal which was sensational. Alex the head chef is quite frankly a legend! Also a MASSIVE thanks to Jane and all the wonderful staff for making our latest stay so special and relaxing. 3rd trip will be very very soon..

I am a repeat visitor to the Brown Trout and stayed this weekend with a group of friends. This time we stayed in a cottage which had absolutely everything you need for a self catering stay, including logs and kindling for the open fire. The bedrooms were well appointed with extremely comfortable beds. We actually ate in the restaurant where we enjoyed a lunch, evening meal and breakfast. As usual our meals were excellent. In the evening we enjoyed a local musician and good craic in the bar. Jane and her team provided their usual exceptional service.

Wonderful weekend with friends. Good food, music, dancing, great craic! Friendly staff & a comfy bed in a delightful cottage. Refreshing country walk this morning followed by a delicious breakfast. Thank you one & all for a great stay. Will be back soon.

The meal was delicious and the Irish hospitality was in abundance. Location is lovely and a good choice of dishes. Dessert was also tasty and overall, we had a very pleasant meal. The menu catered for the group whose ages ranged from 11 years old to post retirement - and several in between. Table service needs attention.

Room was beautiful and very clean. Staff was professional, friendly and very helpful. Stayed for 2 nights and used diner 2 times. Each time the food was excellent. Would recommend this “hidden treasure” to anyone, even if you don’t play golf 😁
