Blau Colònia Sant Jordi

My husband and I spent a week at Blau Colonia Sant Jordi from 18th September 2024. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality & appearance of the hotel when we arrived, its a low rise building with the rooms split into various blocks, its above normal standard in our opinion, really quite plush. It is in a quiet area, however there is a free shuttle bus to take you to the beaches if required. There are a few pools & plenty of sunbeds available. The hotel is very clean throughout, we had a small suite with a sofa & coffee table. The bedroom was a good size and kept very clean by the cleaning ladies who were all so nice. We had a free safe with the suite & bathrobes & slippers which we love. The mini fridge is stocked with various drinks on arrival free of charge, however if you continue to use the drinks stock after the first time you must pay for what you use. The drinks from the bar were lovely, slightly pricy, but we enjoyed them very much. We also had free Spa access with our suite. The restaurant was always busy, there were a lot of young families & babies when we were there, they are well catered for. The quality and varitety of food was very good, there was also a chef on the grill every night cooking meats & fish to order. There are also themed nights, Sushi, Italian etc., which we enjoyed. Breakfast was brilliant, fresh omlettes to order and so many other things to choose from, it was my favourite part of the day! The waiting staff serving drinks in the restaurant and all very professional and bring your drinks quickly. You can sign for your drinks & pay the account when checking out which is so easy, saves messing around with currency. We checked out at 3am this morning and the receptionist explained that there was a light breakfast available to us in the restaurant, we didn't expect that at all due to the early flight, and it was very nice to have a coffee & croissant to set us up for the journey. We did get mosquito bites, I wonder if the wildlife ponds on site encourage the mosquitos? Maybe something that could be considered? We did use spray in the room & it didn't stop it unfortunately. We really enjoyed our week and would be very happy to go back to the hotel in the future. Well done to all the staff.

The Spa - massage with Dalia Moreno Anyone staying at the hotel shouldn’t miss out on a treatment at the Spa. I had a treatment today with Dalia. She is upbeat with a great sense of humour and put me at ease straight away and I don’t relax easily…well I did today! I chose a 40 minutes massage. Dalia helped me pick out a preferred fragrance to use during my treatment. They’re all good but I chose an energising/strong uplifting one. I had walked a minimum of 15k steps each day or 7 miles on the beach for 5 days and my body ached, especially my feet and calves. Dalia worked on my feet and calve muscles, picking up naturally where my aches were without me having to mention. The pressure she used was perfect and she checked all was good, well yes it definitely was. She moved on to my back, hands and arms, again the technique and pressure was spot on. This lady has magic hands and I’m sure she’s an angel sent from heaven. The rooms are large, the perfect temperature and spotlessly clean. The choice of music was also relaxing and at the right volume. Dalia made me feel special today, she made me smile and I was offered a herbal tea and chocolate at the end, which I also enjoyed. I’d 100% recommend her. I left feeling totally relaxed and uplifted. I only wish I could take her back to England with me. Thank you to Dalia for making me feel so good.

I love the fun activities (shows, dances, pools..etc) and the frogs in the LITLE puddle, and also the food tasted really good. I also enjoyed that it was a beach so close to the hotel. But it wiuld help with a LITLE more information for the bus.

We’ve just arrived home from spending 11 nights at blau Colonia. We went together as a couple. PROS:This is a really nice, well kept and tidy resort. We were in block 5, so a 5 minute stroll to the main complex. Most of the staff are amazing at their jobs and friendly. The swim up bar was always a great experience and top quality drinks. The animation team are really energetic and bring a good spirit to the place. I took part in various activities including water polo and table tennis, all good fun. They had the football on a big screen where everyone could gather near the upstairs foyer bar. We also made the most of the gym and active area while here. The food from the buffet on a morning and evening was always really nice and enough variation to keep it from getting boring, however we did eat out on one occasion at a local Italian (Vesuvio, really good and very reasonable Price). There is a shop on site which has plenty of the basics which you would need to get by like water, sun cream and an ATM if you needed. The resort is also a 10-15 minute walk to a selection of beaches and the harbour town. We went to all beaches on various days and each one is stunning. The rooms were always kept clean by the staff each day. So that is what we enjoyed about the holiday and what made it an overall enjoyable experience. Now for the things we think the hotel could improve on. CONS: Most lunch times we went to the llevant restaurant and unfortunately the service was non existent once you took your seat, on one occasion it was 30 minutes before we even got a drinks menu. I approached the waiter for service eventually. It seemed unorganised. We started to go at less busy times(2pm) and it did improve slightly. The food was always really good from here though. Service On an evening during the entertainment was also really stretched, we probably got served once over the evening, you can’t go to the bar either as I got told the waiters are coming round. We often went to the dinner buffet at a later time of 9pm(closed at 9.30), we found with this that some of staff were no longer as interested in taking drinks orders and pre occupied with clearing away ready for closing up. We didn’t get drinks on one occasion and on the other I had to approach them. I don’t know if it’s a culture thing, but being British we did find it strange that the toilet in the room is so exposed.. a sliding glass door which you can see through. So very little privacy while on the toilet. I don’t know if every room is like this. No stocked minibar in the room. The safe costs £40+ euros to use in the room, which is the first time I’ve been charged for usage of the safe. If you want to swim during the day, it is a bit of a struggle as every pool is mostly occupied with kids throwing balls and splashing about, which Is fine but it isn’t that kind of place where you can do lengths very much unless you went really early or later on in the day. It’s definitely set up for kids. Just my opini

A coeliac can easily eat from the buffet here. The restaurant manager was extremely helpful during my stay, offering gf alternatives should I have wished. My daughter and I each had glorious full body massages booked by lovely staff at the spa. My massage was given by Manu, oh my goodness it was the best one I’ve ever had, a flowing seamless 90 minutes of heaven, he’s amazing! Highly recommend! #Sanagua

Amazing service, Kelly was lovely and I actually enjoyed my massage a lot! Definetely an experience that I would repeat. In my opinion, this great service offered by Blau Hotel is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Thank you Kelly for what you did to me!
