The women at the front desk were wonderful and easy to work with. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable.

We are glad to report that this facility and our room was very clean. The breakfast was above average for a hotel breakfast, serving bacon and pork sausage along with the powdered eggs and other offerings. However, the arrangement of the room is what ensures we will never return. The bathroom is long and skinny (almost as long as the length of the room) with the toilet on one end, the sink in the middle, and the shower on the other end. The shower had a very slippery base and no grab bars--I think that's an accident waiting to happen. But the worst thing is that the door to the bathroom is right at the feet of the bed and is a frosted glass door. So at night when you go in the bathroom and turn on the light, even if you close the door, the whole sleeping area is lit up. On top of that, since the bathroom is at the foot of the bed, the TV is mounted way to the side of the room. If you're in bed watching TV, you have to roll on your side to watch it. This is a poor room plan and not very comfortable.

Every aspect of this stay was excellent. The front desk staff were efficient and attentive. Check-in was flawless. The room was immaculate as was the entire property inside and outside. Comfortable bedding, generous towel supply, fully equipped room with fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The breakfast was first rate, skillfully prepared and thoughtfully displayed. I highly recommend this property for a safe, clean, pleasant stay in Columbia, SC.

Very impressed with this property. Extremely clean- rooms and breakfast dining area. A wide variety of choices for breakfast. Great coffee. Day staff friendly and responsive. Housekeeper went out of her way to ensure we could have a first floor room.

I pass through Columbia once a month and stay here. The staff is amazing. The rooms are 5 star because they’re always clean and fresh. The bathroom is amazing and they provide all the toiletries you might need. I wouldn’t stay at any other hotel chain again. Marriott has always exceeded my expectations. They have a really nice breakfast bar every day too.
