La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Columbus MS

We were here for one night as we were traveling elsewhere. I would call this a 3-1/2 star hotel, but bumped it up because the accommodations were what we were hoping got and the staff was very polite and helpful. This isn't anything fancy, but the room was clean, breakfast was hot and plentiful, and the location is very convenient to the highway. It's not the most picturesque location (behind a closed-down restaurant), but it served our purpose. Would certainly stay here again.

The nicest and most accommodating staff! We came here after the AC in our other hotel didn’t work and one of us in our party was sick. The staff here was so helpful and made sure we were able to get into a room quickly and made a point to check on us. We will definitely be back!

Very comfortable and friendly staff. My room was clean and I had everything I needed. I was at the end of the hall so my rest was not disturbed. Staff met me with a smile and were very helpful. They have breakfast but I did not partake of it. I slepted in every morning. I was there for rest and relaxation.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was not the best but they had a waffle maker so it was enough for our son. Also our towels had makeup and coffee stains. The staff gave us extra towels when asked.

There were several of us and we wanted to visit in the seating area off the lobby. The front desk lady accommodated us and turned the air up so it was warmer for us. I believe she was the manager came and change it back. It was so cold, I had to leave the area and not visit with family. Other than that, the hotel was great.

Young lady was rude an very unwilling to hear what was being said attempt to verify directly said my son couldn't check in to a reservation that was clearly made for him wit points with him listed as guest he worked all day then sat in the lobby for 20 min as I had to co tact wyndham directly not for them to add his name to it but for them to call the hotel an verify as to why they would not check him in yo a reservation with him listed as the guest.

Whoever Summer is did a HORRIBLE JOB! 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! Everything was dirty! I had a 10 month old with me so I had to go get a vacuum and vacuum the room myself! Ridiculous!!! Staff was not accommodating! Did not try to help with a resolution!

We chose this hotel for a football weekend because it seemed affordable for a SEC football weekend, but NOT cheap, and our usual place to stay in Starkville was booked. The on-line appearance looked fine, and we have been pleased with our LaQuinta stays in Starkville. When we pulled up, we noticed what looked to be an abandoned Waffle House in the parking lot. All of the cars were parked directly in front of the hotel, as if people were afraid to park in the back lot. The lobby was standard, and my husband said the breakfast Buffett was good. The room, however, was lacking. The shower, was grimy. I bought Clorox wipes and wiped down the shower, but there was still mildew. The sheets were worn, bed uncomfortable, and the wall above the bed was discolored with water damage. We just felt dirty when in the room. The staff we encountered were all professional and courteous. The rooms, however, were not well-maintained.

Katy was phenomenal! She assisted me with a rollaway bed and ensured that I received a disability room that could accommodate my brother. She displayed true MS hospitality and followed up to ensure that I had needed. Thanks again!
