Resort Cordial Santa Águeda & Perchel Beach Club

We have just returned from a 12 night stay here 2 adults & two teenage girls. This accommodation is amazing. Relaxing and peaceful location (we hired a car to get around the island), rooftop terrace for sunbathing with an infinity pool, gorgeous gardens. Rooms clean bright and spacious with a washer, dryer, dishwasher. Wash tabs included! Staff friendly, i just cant fault anything. The beach club attached is just stunning. We went there a few times. Beach towels are included with your room. We would return here without hesitation, a fantastic stay.

Lying on my sunbed having just checked out. We’re not travelling until later, so here’s my review written in situ! Firstly the town/village of Arguineguin - it’s not the prettiest, nor is it picture postcard but we’ve genuinely come to love it. It’s not packed with tourists, it’s very much populated by locals and that is to its benefit. Everyone is so friendly, the shops had everything we needed and there are a whole range of restaurants of various types and of good quality. Sunset views are astonishing and can be watched from many restaurants. We recommend B-One Costa Alegre, Emozione and Jamon del Arguineguín. The much talked about cement works? It’s there, it dominates the skyline if you want to look that way, but it had absolutely no bearing on our holiday at all. It doesn’t make a noise, it doesn’t smell or create dust, and it’s fairly well screened. It shouldn’t put anyone off. It’s where local people work. Secondly the resort itself. It’s beautiful. It’s well looked after, everything is of a high standard and the staff are all very pleasant. We had a deluxe apartment with our own small pool, which we rarely left during the daytime, which was one of the best we’ve stopped in. It had a full kitchen and facilities and we did our own simple breakfast and lunch so didn’t use the restaurant for breakfast at all. There is a very well stocked, reasonably priced Spar on site that has pretty much everything you might need. Apartment was cleaned everyday and linen/towel changes were regular. Pool towels are in your room. We had a washing machine and detergent is supplied. We could have travelled with half of the stuff we packed for the sake of a wash every few days and drying it in the baking sun in about 3 hours! (Tip - a travel washing line is helpful to use on the roof terrace if you have one. ) There’s the main pool if that’s what you want, and it’s lovely with an infinity point overlooking the ocean. The grounds are beautifully looked after. We didn’t use the Beach Club, nothing against it, it just wasn’t what we wanted/needed with having our own pool. We paid one visit for coffee and it’s very nicely done! It’s about a 10-15 min walk into town along the coastal path past the banana plantation and the local football pitch - easy access to the local Bus service which is both regular, reliable and cheap. We went to Puerto de Mogán (€2.20 each way) and Maspalomas (also €2.20). Puerto de Mogan is beautiful and well worth a visit. We visited Maspalomas in the late afternoon/evening to see the dunes which were stunning, but I wouldn’t race back for anything else. We also booked a trip stargazing with AstroGC - amazing experience up in the mountains. Well worth it - see separate TripAdvisor review. I recommend the resort and the town to anyone - if you want busy nightlife then go elsewhere. If you want a relaxing holiday In lovely surroundings then you won’t go far wrong.

Slightly late to review but felt I needed to. We had 10 days in a 2 bed apartment. Myself, my husband and 3 year old and we had the BEST time. The apartment was fantastic! We self-catered which worked for us perfectly as it gave us flexibility within our day. The amenities in the apartment were premium. Everything you needed and more, stunning design and super clean. All staff extremely friendly and always a ‘hola’ and a smile when passing. We used both the beach club and the roof top pool and never had an issue getting a bed. Yes, we had to queue for 10 minutes prior to 11am for beach club but so what, was worth it. Arguineguín was picturesque, we ate in the same two restaurants a few times and we took taxis to Maspalomas and Puerto Rico when we fancied venturing out which was probably 4 days out of 10. The walk to the town was literally 10 minutes. The beach front was stunning. We watched the sunset a few times and it was entertaining to watch the locals loving the surf in the area. On site shop was great. Had everything you needed to pick up ingredients to cook or grab a lazy lunch for poolside. The only thing we would do differently next time would be to rent a car as I believe we would have spent slightly less on the rental than what we spent on taxis however, we also appreciated some very educational taxi drivers explaining more about the area - sometimes felt like a private tour! Very enjoyable holiday and thank you Santa Cordial Águeda - you made it perfect.

Just returned from a lovely week here. Could not fault anything. Staff worked very hard and couldn’t do enough for you House keeping came every day. We had an ocean front villa with private pool which was very spacious and well equipped. We always managed to get a sun lounger in the beach club when needed. Food and drink was lovely and served to your sun lounger or you can eat in the restaurants Spar shop had everything you need and reasonable prices. Local town is small but did have few eating places, we visited other towns for shopping, eating and site seeing as well. Had a lovely family holiday and would return. Thank you to all the staff.

What a wonderful place. Our accommodation holiday villa was amazing with everything we could ever need. Housekeeping was to a good standard and had fresh towels whenever we required. Having a washing machine and tumble dryer was great as we went home with hardly any washing. The area wasn't too busy but we liked that factor, and the views in the evening were lovely. The factory wasn't an eye sore as some other reviews have stated, it'd hardly noticeable. The spar shop on site was great with lots of choice and reasonably priced. We hired a car which meant we could venture out and we spent many days and evening over towards central maspalomas around holiday world, and around the lighthouse, where there was lots of shops and lovely places to eat. We also ate at El Boya (next to cordial santa agueda) a fish based restaurant with beautiful views. Morning breakfast was lovely with a large selection, and staff members were really friendly. We went with children aged 11 months, 8 yrs and 10 yrs....they thoroughly enjoyed their time here and we would highly recommend this place. The Perchel Beach club was good....we went on 2 occasions and paid 50% for double beds and a canopy bed. Service was good and the children enjoyed the pool area. Food was lovely but not great for kids. Overall a great family holiday.

Amazing experience from start to finish. Can not express how good our holiday was here. We are a family of 5 with 19, 12 & 9 year old & all loved it. Accommodation spotless and spacious. Apartment we had was on the same level of the pool, used the pool every day and always beds available, one of the key points was the day beds and bean bags which was a nice touch. Pool was cold but perfect for the warm temperatures. Rooms cleaned daily with washing accessories topped up each day. Spar on site was not overpriced as most reviews state, we traveled to another supermarket nearby and prices were much and such the same. Nice fresh options each day. We hired a car and travelled most nights into Melonas which is beautiful, a lot more classy than Porta Rico. Car IMO is a must have if staying here. Free access to the beach club which is also great, clean and nice chilled out vibes. Gym was also good, has what you need. Would return in a heartbeat!

Looking at some of the reviews on here I had my reservations however, I’m glad I booked. We booked with Jet2 who as always made the whole holiday smooth and hassle free. On arrival at the hotel. We were checked in by a very friendly member of staff. Check in was quick and smooth. We stayed in a classic duplex with terrace. It was lovely. Very clean, had everything we needed including 2 toilets. There are 2 bedrooms, a shower, kitchen living room area. Each room has a tv where you can access Netflix and prime. The apartment was clean and housekeeping came everyday. There is a Spar on site which has a lovely fresh bakery, and all the amenities you would need. The roof top pool is lovely. We used this on weekends where we always found a sun lounger. We paid for breakfast one morning. Which is €15 per person. This had a lovely selection of items. Staff again friendly and welcoming. Now to the beach club. This place is stunning and is free to guests Mon-Fri. With a discount on weekends. It opens at 11am - 9pm. We qued at 1040 and always had a lounger. To be fair I saw staff here trying their best to give everyone a lounger, from the hotel. They do have reserved loungers with blue towels however, I witnessed them shuffle these about to accommodate hotel staff. I understand why it’s done. They have to balance guests and paying customers. On entry you are greeted by the Manager. He shakes your hand and is very welcoming. You can call waiter staff to your lounger. To order drinks and food. All very nice. Please remember to tip both waiter staff and housekeeping, they appreciate it greatly. We loved the local town. Plenty of places to eat and drink, in walking distance. Not busy at all. We were told the town gets busy in September when the Norwegians come over. We liked the balance as we could have a quiet night locally. Or a taxi to Porto Rico. Where night life is booming and restaurant and bars go on and on. Some restaurants and bars try to entice you in. Just be firm and say no. Steaks in Gran Canaria are huge. I had some of the best steaks I’ve ever had. WiFi was excellent, we had it everywhere we went on site. Including the beach club. We travelled as a family, 2 boys aged 16 and 13. We all loved it.

Superb hotel and beach club, soundly 5 star amenities and service. Stayed here for a week in June, 2 bed single story apartment which was modern with a great lay out, double bathrooms lots of space for a family of 5 - washer and dryer was a bonus as all cases going back with clean clothes! Apartments have a roof top terrace with children’s and a bigger pool, life guard on duty plenty of sun loungers/bean bags/curve chairs and loads of space. No bar but onsite spar with Drinks/Food Inc hot. Fantastic beach club, mid week was nice and quiet, the weekends were very busy so ensure to book. Great beds/pools/music. Kids loved the park and splash park area as a change from the main pool. Large tv to watch football and escape the sun on an afternoon. Great food and drink and reasonably priced for the quality - remember you’re not at a bar on a ‘*****’ paying €2 a pint. Sushi was a fave, fish, chicken, salad dishes all superb. It’s a 10 minute walk to the beach at Arguineguin where there are some nice 5/5 restaurants, tapas, Italian etc look them up before you go. We got taxis into Puerto Rico which was 15 mins and €15 each way some evenings for a change. Very peaceful area, lots of varied nationalities. Will definitely return here when we come to the Canaries. You can see the cement factory, not so much from the beach club but you can from the pool terrace but wouldn’t bother you, you can always face the other way.

This resort is stunning. We stayed in a 3 bed apartment with our own pool. It was excellent and had everything we needed. It was cleaned daily. Breakfast was included and there was plenty of choice. We found the pool to be warmer than the beach club pool. We did use the beach club and is beautiful plenty of sun lounges, beds and covered cabanas . Staff throughout the resort were lovely. We also used the Spa which again we could not fault. We were a group of ladies ranging in age from 20s to 70
