Hotel Santa Maria de Comayagua

Value over price. It's on the pricey side for locals n foreigners. If you pay over $20 for a plate of food at least you expect a great meal. It only looks good in pictures but the food is bland. Also for the price they should at least hire more staff, my God it's ridiculous how long u gotta wait for a drink. The poor servers are running around. None came to ask if I needed something, updates on my drinks. I had to take the menu myself and look for someone to take my order. It seems this hotel is trying to save $ by overworking their staff that can't even handle so many tables. I wouldn't recommend this for a pool day. I am very disappointed. It's Ben over 35 min and my shrimp cocktail has not arrived

While looking for hotels 8n comayagua, we came up with this hotel. We made the reservation over the phone and then received the confirmation online. There was a confusion as the person reserving this did not tell us the complete total but the daily rate and up to arrival date we had the idea it was less. Once we checked in we realized the 2 nights were almos $600. 00 which come on, this is a great facility with beautiful grounds, beds were amazing and overall was good, but for that amount of money we have gone to Punta Cana, spend a whole week all inclusive, 2 adults 1 teenager. This is extremely expensive for a hotal without a chain name like Marriott or something like that. Bad things, we needed a corkscrew and ice, we called 4 times to reception and restaurant, keep us waiting and the 5th time they told us that the ice was paid and they didn't have a corkscrew, which I didn't believe because they had a bar, and on top of that they were gonna charged us to deliver the ice which was a 2 min walk. Let me reminded you that we were paying almost $300.00 a night, 5ppl just breakfast. I the end we ended up staying just 1 night, and we were charged for a broken glass that we didn't even touch. Breakfast was a buffet, very few options but good.. Not good enough for almost $300. 00 per night though.

Cuando reservamos confirmamos que estariamos 3 personas 2 adultos y 1 niño, la tarifa decia que el desayuno estaba incluido, lo cual no era asi, cuando llegamos al restaurante pidieron las tickets, de las cuales solo 2 teniamos, la señorita del frontdesk menciono que por politica solo se incluyen 2 desayunos por habitacion, algo que en la plataforma de booking no lo dice. Adicional a ese primer mal servicio, se suma que no pudes usar la piscina hasta las 10am, esto debido a que ponen quimicos para la limpieza respectiva, sin embargo veo que no es correcto el horario que usa el hotel para este fin, ya que una persona promedio que hace ejercicios lo minimo que se espera es nadar temprano antes del desayuno. Algo alarmante es la suciedad y deterioro de la habitacion el techo (cielo raso) la suciedad en la bañera y la cortina fue algo que da que pensar en relacion a la limpieza. Por ultimo, uno de los meseros del restaurante con una mala actitud hacia el cliente que dice mucho de la supervision de este hotel, jamas regresaremos y nunca daremos una buena recomendacion de ese hotel. Lo unico bastante aceptable fue la forma en que la señorita del front manejo la situacion, la cual trato de solventar sin resultados para nadie, ya que nosotros tuvimos un mal servicio y el hotel tuvo esta mala calificacion que espero sirva a otros viajeros a decidir si lo ocupan.

El hotel es amplio, tiene una bonita área de piscina pero el servicio es pésimo y han incrementado mucho los precios de las comidas y bebidas, quizás aprovechando que ahora el aeropuerto está en Palmerola, por otro lado solo aceptan pagos vía transferencias o efectivo, nada de tarjetas de crédito, En conclusión tienen mucho que mejorar
