Hotel Marco's

Excellent hotel! Has parking for a small fee, not too bad. Breakfast included, excellent views. The staff went above and beyond to make us have a nice experience. Held our luggage while we wandered around the town. It wasn’t over priced, our room was a bit small and I would have appreciated an a/c that worked a bit better but the staff made up for any of these imperfections! Will be coming back.

The perfect location for our Lake Como mini break! Nothing fancy…small room with a fairly large bathroom and no real view from our room 2, but could not fault the cleanliness of our room on arrival and it was cleaned every day to a great standard. All the staff were very welcoming and provided excellent service during our stay. We had a lunch and a dinner at the Funicolare Ristorante & Pizzeria (part of the hotel) and all the food and drink was excellent, as was the service. Again, all the staff were very helpful and friendly and the service was excellent. Giorgio, in particular, was great! This hotel is a perfect base to explore Lake Como…a 3 minute walk to the train, bus station and the ferry which is a great way to visit places around the Lake.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Marcos Hotel to celebrate our anniversary, and it was truly wonderful! The atmosphere was romantic and welcoming, making it the perfect setting for our special occasion. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated, with stunning views of the surrounding area. We also enjoyed the delicious meals at the hotel restaurant. Additionally, Marcos Hotel offers easy access to Milan, just about an hour away by train. This made it convenient for us to explore the vibrant city during our stay. While in Como, we also visited the beautiful Lake Como, took a scenic boat ride, and explored the charming streets filled with shops and cafes. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our anniversary. We highly recommend Marcos Hotel to anyone looking for a lovely getaway in Como!

A small hotel in an excellent location in Como, about 10 minutes walk from the main town area and ferry. Our room was small but quiet, the staff were friendly and there was a good breakfast. The hotel also served evening meals which was convenient for us.

Everything about this place was fantastic. The view from our room, close to many places to eat, the staff was especially helpful friendly and just kind!! Bed was comfortable. The room was very clean. Close to ferry system. Food in their restaurant was excellent !! And service outstanding!!

Lake como is absolutely beautifull and i would recommend going to this hotel while visiting. The hotel room and bathroom is small but clean. the view from the hotel and our hotelroom at the lake is great. Breakfast was also very good. You can sit outside with also view on the lake. 15 minutes walking you can take the ferry to the different tows in lake como. When the ferry arrives back in lake como it will arrive very close to the hotel which was very nice.

Being a boutique hotel the amenities are limited but it served our purpose of wanting a hotel close to the restaurants and center of town in Como. The staff associates at the desk with friendly, gracious and willing to answer all our questions and provide assistance. There is not an elevator so one has to walk their luggage up stairs via various levels; assistance was offered by the staff to take the luggage. The room and bathroom small offering the basics in accommodation but we didn't spend time in the room during the day & until late. Room was clean and we had a view overlooking the lake. Breakfast cold buffet but with an adequate selection.

We informed the hotel that we would be arriving late as our flight time had changed ( they said that was fine as reception is 24hrs) we got a taxi direct from Malapensa airport so it was 1am the lad was lovely but took our passports and then started tapping into the computer for ages - in the end we said can’t you just show us to our room and give us our passports back tomorrow. 3 other staff finishing in the kitchen etc came through and said he was new so it would take a while!, then he had to go back down to reception 3 times as the keys were not opening the door to our room. Once the door open ended we were so disappointed it was the smallest room possible barely room to get round the bed and a small window was a lake view but not what we thought we would get for the money, Shower was tiny cubicle room was very basic. ( it was clean and the bed and bedding fine.) At 250 euros a nigh B & B we were hoping for much better.- a premier inn room is more spacious and nicer! We paid a premium for a lake view room but it was over roof tops and a small window in corner of the room! The WiFi was annoying you had to keep login in as it cut out after 5 mins. Breakfast was very limited -a few cornflakes, toaster for bread,rolls, eggs / salami but you had to lay the table your self and find all the cutlery, etc you needed keep asking for napkins etc. The only outside space is tables at front and it’s the last hotel and furthest from the centre of Como town. It is next to the funicular so that was handy. The staff were very friendly but this was the only plus point of the hotel - we would not go back for these reasons listed.

Khiarrla in the reception of this hotel is more than a top class hostess, more than a holiday guide, more than a charming person - totally th best of what any foreign person could want for someone to hold their hands in a foreign country.
