Maison du Magnolia

Maison du Magnolia is simply one of the best old world Chambre d'Hotes experiences you could have in France. Davina was an excellent host. It was a memorable experience. The breakfast is very good. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

Quite simply one of the nicest, most welcoming, most endearing properties I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. The moment Davina opened the door to us we felt at home. The gorgeous old house just wraps itself around you in a great big soft hug. Nothing is too much for Davina - her rooms are full of personal touches - from cotton wool balls to bottles of shower gel in case you've forgotten yous (I had!!). The garden to the rear of the property is magnificent - a beautifully tended jungle leading down to a terrace overlooking the river. We sat here with a bottle of wine listening to the increasingly frantic songs of the frogs as night fell and were joined by Davina for a long chat - at no point did it seem awkward or invasive and it was like we'd known each other for years! Breakfast the following morning was fabulous. Fresh pastries and croissants, juice, yoghurts and all the usual accoutrements of a decent continental breakfast. I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's so relaxing, so welcoming and such a pleasure to know that places like this still exist. An absolute treasure.

From the moment the door was opened by Davina ( the owner) we felt So welcomed.What a lovely,friendly lady.She does go and beyond for you yet without imposing.The accomadation.....It just seemed to wrap its arms around you.Absolutely stunning and such a lovely warm feeling.Our room was huge,to be honest it was an apartment which we were not expecting.(we did have the family room).The breakfast was amazing with everyone catered for and such a friendly atmosphere.The location was perfect.I could not say anything other than this accomadation was 100% perfect and Davina was 100% perfect.So overall,if you are looking for accomadation in Confolens then I would recommend this to anyone.

La chambre ou nous étions ma femme et moi ; nous étions surpris du sublime ameublement et ainsi que de la déco. avec une literie dont le matelas qui est très confortable et qui est parfait pour ce qui sont fragile du dos comme moi et pour ce qui est du sanitaire qui est d'une propreté irréprochable . De plus il y a sur la table basse de la chambre ou il y a un grand plateau ou on y trouve de ce qu'il faut pour une bonne collation . Et n'oublions pas le petit déjeuné ou il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour prendre un bon petit déjeuné et il y a du choix qui est mis à disposition . Et j'allais oublier l'accueil chaleureux de la patronne qui est Mme Bradbury Davina . Mais voir les photos que j'ai faite et elles parleront d'elles même

Une hôtesse très sympathique, des chambres spacieuses avec télé connectée à Netflix et wifi le top pour nos ados. Mention spéciale au petit déjeuner qui était vraiment copieux avec pain frais,confiture,viennoiseries, yaourt, fruits et même une assiette salée.Notre chien a aussi eu une petite friandise😊
