Found a deal on Trip.com and was thrilled. I was looking for a quiet night away. The villas were perfect -- quiet and fully stocked. The price was great, and when I left early the next morning I was already making plans to come back with the family -- looked like tons of great things to do for all ages, but without the noise that usually goes along with family-friendly resorts.

Went for a girlie trip thru RCI points. We were placed in the old cabins which were outdated and in need of complete redo and should not be rented out. Very disappointed.One bath just had tub with jets and all discolored with mirror surround that was water damaged.The whole unit had the oldest furniture that looked like it was from the 80’s.The unit along with old carpet smelled stale . However the units in the picture looked nice you won’t get those.The grounds around them look nice.

The best things about this resort are the location, the cleanliness of the unit, quietness of the community and the friendliness of the registration staff.

I wish I would have read the reviews before staying here. This place has two sections and one is apparently much better than the other. The photos do not show an accurate depiction of the older section of the property where we stayed. Our "villa" seemed fresh out of the 1970s. The kitchen counter was broken, the sinks were cracked, the toilet ran and then clogged, and the furniture was old and worn out. We were truly shocked and disappointed by our accommodations. According to prior reviews, people have been complaining about these problems for quite a while, and still Holiday Inn books these shoddy rooms to unsuspecting travelers. We paid over $500 total for 3 nights here and it was definitely not worth that. I expected better from you, Holiday Inn.

Friendly staff and resort is just a few miles to shopping and business area. We were in a 2br condo. Being seniors and 3 of us couldn’t climb a flight of stairs, we requested street level. Easy to park and enter. Only disappointment was there is no public lake access to walk to. Only to put in boat. Oh, activity center is very well equipped and attendants so pleasant.

We love Piney Shores! It is a great location in close proximity to many attractions. At the resort there are activities to accommodate everyone. We can't wait to go back!

The resort was clean, but did not have all of the amenities available that were advertised. This resort does not have horseback riding or a restaurant on site. It was very inconvenient having to order or travel for food. There are a lot of swimming pools and the lake is very nice.

Piney Shores was a big disappointment. They are into renting their cabins to non-members and forgetting that the members pay maintenance fees and uses earned points for their stay and are not getting the accommodations that are promised. My cabin lost power during the hurricane; I reported the outage at 8:00AM. I was not given another cabin until 9PM because the resort was renting rooms to get fast money. The supervisor of the resort did not show up until 9Pm. The personnel on duty had no authority to make any decisions, so I was given the supervisor's number to call, naturally no answer. There were many cabins with power, but no one with authority to do the change. I had family members that rented rooms from Friday to Monday (the day of the hurricane) They were told to check out in the middle of the raging storm because the rooms had to be cleaned. It was not possible to check out with the wind raging, the rain, tree limbs falling, but they were told to check out and come sit in the reception area until the storm past. The repercussions were unlimited for a lawsuit. Piney Shores need better management!!!!
