Super 8 by Wyndham Montgomery/ Lake Conroe

Go somewhere else We parked by our room which was next to the office and the owner/manager was not happy we had taken "his" spot. The pool was locked on August 24 with temps in the 90's.The owner/manager told the housekeeper "no key" but when he saw us there waiting, he walked down with a very angry look and unlocked the gate. He never spoke to us. Pool was filthy. Hot tub was advertised but there was no hot tub. Bathroom faucet had no hot water and barely a trickle. Housekeeper didn't come until 5 pm and didn't make the bed. Breakfast ended well before the advertised 9 am. Recliner was broken. Only one nightstand lamp. Refrigerator had no freezer but froze our food. This is part of Wyndham?

It was nice but not exceptional. Quiet at night but noisy from people walking above us in the morning.

Vending and ice machine not working and havent been working for a while with no indication as to when it will be.

The hotel is dated and it shows. There was blood or rust (dealers choice) on the lamp shade, cigarette burns on the bedspreads (in a non smoking room), the pool was nasty, the toilet paper dispenser was falling out of the wall. Rust in tub and sink drains and the place smelled like mildew all (3) days I was there. I bought a candle within an hour my first night to try to mask the smell, it helped but by night two I was congested and I almost didn’t even stay for night 3. The check in staff was rude and unresponsive. The check out lady seemed put off to have to help me check out, but not outwardly rude about it. I will not stay at any Super 8 hotel again. And I would not recommend anyone to stay here more than a night and only if you can’t find any other space available.

Serviceable hotel, worked for a single night stay with few options at the time. Pillows are horrible

Tbh we were put in the wrong room to begin with then switched over to another room that was clean but everything was falling off the wall or not working. We wanted to get into the pool but a guy was using it for a party. He was drinking and playing music. When I walked by he was telling me to join him in the pool. We called to the front desk and complained but they did nothing. Finally we just got in a tried to ignore him but he kept trying to talk to us. The hotel was pretty clean inside the room but the outside was dirty.
