This was a delightful introduction to South Africa and the western Cape for our 40th wedding anniversary. Even before arrival, Sally provided excellent help and suggestions, by email, for local restaurants and possible sights to see in our 3 day/4 night short visit. She and Mike were perfect hosts and should be proud of their boutique B&B and the personal care and attention which is evident in all they do. Breakfasts were beautifully prepared and enjoyed on the poolside patio with an excellent choice of cooked fare to complement cereals, pastries and fruit/yoghurt and cold meats. Our room was furthest from the main building and enjoyed a late sunset over the mountain. The bed was very comfortable and room well appointed and within WiFi range. Located in the wine estate area of Constantia, it is within easy drive of all Cape Town main sights and secluded enough to feel you are in the countryside. Sally and Mike seem to love chatting with their guests and this provides a nice relaxing ambiance to their special spot. Thanks for a great stay. Dongola House deserves to receive all its customer accolades.

I have to amend my previous review here - we have been around the cape a couple of times, but this guesthouse is a real gem! The hosts are great, breakfast is fab, the room is very stylish, spacious and well looked after. The view is absolutely fantastic, the garden and pool top notch (Sally or the maids were always there with a cool jug of water, whenever we decided to lounge in the sun after a refreshing dip in the pool). We can't wait to come back!
