Kalamaki Beach Resort

Totally Relaxed and an intimate perfect resort. You have to come experience for yourself. We booked for one night only, to avoid sleeping in the previous noisy hotel we stayed in and to have a relaxing evening together as a family before our flight home. We booked half board, diner setting is overlooking the sea and the buffet was a mixture of traditional Greek food, and European food, very well prepared. The private beach is a mixture of sand and pebbles, the checkout is midday which is a novelty, normally 11am in Greece. Everything was on point, from service to cleanliness and comfort but the best thing was definitely the quiet rooms and the sound of the sea. I’d highly recommend Kalamati hotel and will happily return. The hotel is 10min drive to Corinth Canal and archaeological site of Ancient Corinth. Best news is, it’s a free Peloponnese attraction!

Staying in the hotel was great, but I want to praise the high level and quality of the food. Even if you are not a regular customer, I really recommend you visit Kalamaki Beach for your daily swim and eat in the restaurant. The food was so delicious we are looking forward to visit again.

Quiet family hotel next to the beach and with a nice pool. There are almost nothing else nearby so a car is highly recommended. There are several historical sites a short drive away. The hotel is rather old, but still have some stile to it. The rooms have a need for upgrades, but are at least clean, though the balcony and under the bed need some cleaning. The hallway was never vacuumed while we stayed, and probably haven’t in a while. The employees are helpful and hardworking. The breakfast and dinner was included in the price for the room. The two were quite opposite of each other. The breakfast was extremely cheap, and the dinner was pretty good! The gym is not maintained and a lamp has been hanging from the roof during our stay. There are not much else than swimming for kids, and are probably best for the young kids.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights, arriving by rental car before 3 PM. from ATH airport. Since we were prepaid, check in was quick with the English speaking receptionist; copy passports, sign a release and issue key cards. We took the elevator to the 2nd floor. Room #207 was tile floored with a window wall view over its balcony to the Saronic Gulf of the Mediterranean. It was nice sized with a wardrobe, bathroom with ample counter space and narrow tub shower, then comfortable twins, a desk unit with refer and hot pot, TV with excellent reception of many international channels (BBC, Euro News, CGTN & a movie-all in English) and a single bed we used for our bags. Our room WIFI was good as was the central AC/heat. The 7 PM serviced dinner buffet was excellent with salads, pork, chicken, spaghetti and many desserts. The 7:30 AM serviced breakfast buffet was also excellent with sunny side up eggs, hot/cold meats, cheese, cereals, fresh fruit, OJ, breads/baked goods and a simple coffee machine. This practical well maintained 80 room hotel has a beautiful spacious lawn, large pool, direct sheltered access to Isthmia Beach, and a nice ΑΒ supermarket(wines, groceries & more) just 6 km north near the canal.

We arrived by boat expecting to be able to get some lunch. Upon arrival we found that there were 4 coach loads of children running and screaming around and using the pool, we decided to go elsewhere for food because of the chaos. When we returned to get our boat a little woman came running out to tell us we had to pay to use the facilities. We explained what had happened and that we would have some cocktails at the bar as payment for tying our boat to their wall. (Always free in Greece) She was so incredibly rude and insisted that we pay €12.50 each to walk across the lawn. We paid for one and the others had to swim. Avoid this place unless you want a pool full of kids on a school trip. The other residents were all hiding from the noise by the sea wall. Extremely rude and argumentative staff.

I stayed here twice and had a very nice time both times. Beautiful surroundings, clean comfortable rooms, good food and kind staff. Rooms open onto a large balcony. Ask for a room facing the pool and sea for the best sunset view. I would stay here again.
