Sea Villa is a wonderful accommodation, base for visiting the Beara, and destination unto itself. We had originally booked for two nights and enjoyed our stay so much that we altered our plans so that we could stay two more days. This was our most memorable accommodation during a month in Ireland. The elements that contribute to the top rating cover the board: comfort, cleanliness, food, location, and most notably—hospitality. Mary and John own and run the B&B and are two of the finest, most engaging folks that we have met in years of staying at small inns/B&Bs. The breakfasts and suppers were excellent (John was harvesting fresh mussels while we were there). They had great suggestions for hikes, other dining options, and activities. The location is a lovely rural setting near the sea, on the Beara Way just outside of Ardgroom, and easy driving to Dursey and Bere Islands and other towns and sites of interest. Oh, and not to be missed is the local pub in Ardgroom, the Village Inn, with a warm fireplace, cozy setting, and great local conversation. We do recommend the seaside hikes right out of the B&B.

Sea Villa is the best B/B that we have ever visited. Beautifully situated near Ardgroom Harbour near Allihies and Eyeries and a short drive to Castletownbere and Kenmare. The rooms are beautifuuly furnished and very comforable . We were lucky to have a patio door leading to the garden and car park. The hosts, Mary and John, were so welcoming, informative and hospitable. We had a beautiful, dry fried Irish breakfast most mornings but there were so many choices, including salmon. John fishes locally so we availed of fresh mussels served with garlic and locally sourced delicious brown bread. There were nightly drinks left for each guest in the rooms...lovely surprise ! and lunch / evening/ beverages and evening meals available on request.. Highly recommendable .... Mary and John were so welcoming and hospitable in their beautiful home situated so centrally on the Beara peninsula. They couldn't have done more for us, with a fabulous choice of breakfasts and all at a very resasonable cost. The fresh salmon, the dry fry and brown bread were delicious. We loved the surprise treats which were left in all the visitors' rooms and we were always welcome to take brown bread, croissants and the cakes left over from breakfast. We had a beautiful , ensuite room with a patio and lots of parking spaces. We recommend Sea Villa very highly, for the warmest hospitality and for extremely good value. Thank you , Many and John, we hope to return soon.

Our room and bathroom were spotless. It was a great place to stay. Mary and John took great care of the place and made our stay a wonderful experience. The place was great but the best part of our stay was the breakfast in the morning. Mary and John were a great host as not only was our breakfast delicious but the information they shared about the area was very interesting as well. We highly recommend this special place for an overnight or longer stay and we would love to visit again soon! Pom and Dan from Killarney, Ireland

On our walk on the Beara Way, we found shelter from the storm and rain by the lovely Irish Jon and Mary. They welcomed us warmly and cordially. For dinner thy fed us with very tasty prepared dishes, and we got freshly caught mussels from Jons musselfarm. The two of them are extremely warm-hearted and friendly and take the best of care of you. After an amazing night in fluffy beds, we got a rich and freshly prepared breakfast and a lunch for the continuing walk. They will definitely stay in our heads and hearts with their warmth manner.

Sea Villa is a fantastic gem of a Bed and Breakfast set in the beautiful village of Ardgroom Beara. Sea Villa has a very high standard of service and cleanliness. The accommodation is beautifully presented and the food is amazing and plentiful. A great choice for breakfast including BucksFizz.. Sea Villa feels like a high end hotel and is certainly value for money. Mary and John Gerard are fantastic hosts who are so attentive and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and memorable. When we checked in we were treated to a glass of prosecco which was greatly appreciated. On returning from a night out our beds were turned down and a lovely note and night cap awaited us. We would give this Bed and breakfast and hosts a 10+ rating. We would recommend Sea Villa and Mary and John Gerard to all potential visitors as you will be treated like royalty. We will be back. Sea Villa has undoubtedly the friendliest, most accommodating hosts we've ever experienced. It's a lovely place, quite comfortable with very nice linens. They do not overlook any detail: the meals are served on elegant matching china and are deliciously prepared. The fresh mussels were magnificent. We returned to our comfortable room to find lighted candles and a night cap. It is the finest B&B we've found in our extensive travels in Ireland, perhaps the best anywhere.

We are very grateful that we were allowed to be guests in Mary's and John's wonderful B&B. We really enjoyed their kindness, Mary's cooking skills and John's delicious fresh mussels. We will always remember our stay at Seavilla in Ardgroom with great pleasure. Many thanks also for the delicious sleeping aids and sightseeing tips.

Everything you expect from a great B&B. A tidy room with a good bed, a new bathroom and the hosts Mary and John Gerard are just fantastic! At our arrival we found our room prepared and a welcoming drink ready. They are so nice and entertaining, it feels like coming home. Sew Villa even offers diner if you like. We took the invitation with both hands and it was just awesome. A superb chowder, smoked salmon and fresh mussels from John Gerards mussel farm prepared by the man himself👌 In the morning a full Irish breakfast freshly made by Mary and we could hit the road again. There is so much love and attention in what they are doing. We can highly recommend a stay at Sea Villa. Keep it going Mary and John 👍.
