Rathmore House was a pleasure to stay at. Marguerite was wonderful and her communications with me were prompt and convivial. Appreciated this so much . My room was lovely and after a long days travel when I arrived I was so tired I went straight to bed. Marguerite had a heated blanket all ready and warm .. Heaven! The property and the view were stellar. Breakfast was amazing and the food was perfect. I could not have asked for more. Marguerite is a wonderful and kind hostess and she dropped me off by the harbor to catch my ferry to Cape Clear, Again so appreciated and recommend to all. Shower was amazing ! Property is very clean and comfortable. Most of all Marguerite makes you feel very welcome and at the end of the day you can't beat that . Thank you

My husband booked this B&B for my birthday trip to Baltimore. Usually I deal with bookings, but was absolutely delighted with this gem he found himself! The accommodation is clearly sign posted from the road, and after a steep driveway there is ample parking for guests. We were immediately greeted by our host, Marguerite, who knew exactly who my husband was, and gave us a warm welcome. She offered a double to 2 twin room- we went for the double which was a gorgeous sea view room. The room was beautifully clean, had kettle/ tea/ coffee facilities, some simple toiletries - perfect. Breakfast on both days was amazing- cooked fresh and very attentive service from the host. Baltimore centre is just a short, simple drive away, and 10 minutes up the hill there is a very traditional pub. They were having the kitchen refurbed in the close of season but that was fine as we had food bookings anyway. I really cannot find any criticism of this stay, only I wish it had been longer!

We stayed in the family room which was huge and comfy. Nothing to complain about. The breakfast was of high quality and very tasty. The owner made us feel welcome and looked after us very well. We will definitely come back the next time we visit this part of Ireland.

The host is lovely and very accommodating, breakfast was outstanding, many choices to be had. The beds were way too stiff to our liking, the pillows flat. The view is so beautiful, request a front facing room. Not walking distance to town, parking is included

Our host was friendly and helpful, and we liked the easy parking at the B&B. Our two rooms were very clean and met our needs. Breakfast was tasty and there were several options from which to choose. Fortunately there is a small pub with good food that’s about a 15-min countryside walk from the property; otherwise you will need to drive to a restaurant.

The home is modern and lovely and the rooms are spacious. I wish we had a room with the front view because it is EXCEPTIONAL!!!! But we didn’t. There are electric blankets for heat and the shower ran hot but the bathroom was FREEZING and the heat was NA in the room as well. I couldn’t get the blanket turned off in the middle of the night so it was a slow roast until morning and the pillows are flat as pancakes. The bed could use an extra layer of softness as our hips and shoulders were all numb by morning. But the morning brought a delightful surprise when we came down for breakfast. The food was the BEST we’d ever had in any BNB. And when we walked out the front door the view took our breath away. I have to say our hostess was lovely and she really does a marvelous job of making sure everything is clean and tidy and welcoming. She is a fantastic cook and very efficient. She runs a tip top house! Just make sure you ask for the rooms with the front view!!

Stay here for a gorgeous view of Ireland's south coast. Request a room with a view. The owner is gracious and makes a wonderful breakfast. Go for the Fiddler's Fest in Baltimore and bio-luminescent kayaking. A real sweet spot!

Brilliant host and a very spacious room for the price. The facilities are modern and tasteful for a lovely country home. I would definitely recommend Rathmore House to anyone, my partner and I had a lovely stay and we just wish we could have stayed longer.
