I stayed down for work for a week and I have to say I really enjoyed my stay. Breda was so nice and welcoming, The beds where comfy, and I had a solid breakfast every morning that set me up for the day I couldn’t recommend this place more.

My 14th consecutive annual visit has just been completed. The fishing in the lake at the end of the garden is fantastic, the welcome warm, the rooms comfortable and the breakfasts out of this world.

Room was small . No space on each side of bed. No place to put luggage. Toilet leaked and nothing was done about it. Mold was forming in bathroom ceiling. Breakfast was ok . Yogurt was expired. Owner was friendly. A bit to far from Dublin for first stop on tour.

We found this B&B a bit worn down. It was on the highway into Macroom and it was difficult getting onto the highway. The room was adequate but we found the bed a little hard to sleep on. The breakfast was included and it was good and the owner was very pleasant which was nice.

We had 2 workers booked in to stay with Breda for two nights last week. Breda was extremely accommodating and of course got us sorted with b&b and also had the option of evening meals, which the lads availed of and were very impressed with. Couldnt fault the stay in any way. We will definitely keep Breda in mind for any future jobs we have in the area. Thank you Breda Bernard & Mick from Sepcon.

Very welcoming and friendly hosts. The breakfasts were excellent and set me up for the day. My room was very clean and had a heated blanket. Lovely views at the back of the guest house. This is a great value guest house in a convenient location. It’s my 2nd visit and I’ll definitely stay again.

I was so disappointed in this place after reading so many good reviews. The room smelled damp and moldy. The beds were lumpy and hard, as were the pillows. The bathroom was just awful. There was what looked to be mold all over the ceiling and it smelled like mold and mildew. Water also got everywhere when the shower was used. The place looked tired and like it needs an update and some love. The breakfast omelet I had was pretty good and the host was lovely and friendly. Overall I did not enjoy my stay and I would not recommend staying here.

The proprietor’s professional, friendly, Irish charm & hospitality was outstanding. The lodge is clean, and the grounds are exquisite. Directly on the river Lee that flows toward Cork. Our bed was comfortable as was the room. Breakfast was outstanding.

What a delightful place and couple. My wife and I arrived a bit later than planned and I was met at the door by a smiling and friendly Breda that showed us to our room. She had turned on an electric blanket for us earlier so that we could enjoy climbing into a warm bed. The room and bed were comfortable and quiet. For breakfast my wife and I enjoyed a delicious full Irish and a couple of freshly baked scones and croissants, all locally sourced. We were able to visit with Breda and Pat for a few minutes before heading out on our days adventure. We will make the extra effort to visit again!
