10 to 15mins drive from airport, though is secluded, the service from the owner Judith was amazing, she really planned out the activities, wether you plan for island hopping, dugong watching, fireflies watching, kingfisher watching. The environment is really nothing but nature, if you are not a nature lover, you won’t be able to appreciate, and of course must bring insects repellent. I really want to go back again.

Super friendly staffs and delicious dinner & breakfast. Location is about 15 minutes from airport and they can arrange airport transfer. Really recommend if you take early flight.

Off the beaten track location in the hills, so great if you want to be more secluded - just note that there isn’t much nearby if you need anything! Gorgeous balcony overlooking the river-really feel like you’re in nature.

Judith is the very best hostess who will go out of her way to make sure you have a wonderful, welcoming experience not only at her guesthouse but the whole area. She's so knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. She scheduled a night boat ride on the Decalachao River which runs through her property to see the fireflies, stars (literally out of this world), and luminescent plankton. I was heading to another spot the next day and she went out of her way to contact the hotel to arrange my boat pick up at the Decalachao pier and arranged transport there for me and my luggage (and on the return trip too). The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the views of the river and surrounding area were beautiful, and the food was generous and delicious. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and hope to return someday soon!

This establishment is outstanding on every account. The food is freshly cooked and of high-quality. The views over the forest and the river from the dining area with birds through the afternoon is a beautiful contrast to the busyness of Coron Town. The rooms have a newly built modern clever feel to them. The bathroom was large and the bed extremely comfortable. I can’t recommend The River house more highly for is quality and incredible affordability. If you come don’t miss doing the Dugong trip, which was run very well and time with the Dugong was so unique. I don’t think that this kind of encounter with the Dugong is easy to find anywhere else in the world that I know of as the Dugong wild has become use to snorkel and divers. The evening riverboat trip to see the fly flies was also an enchanting quiet meditative experience not to be missed.

We were lucky enough to book our accommodation in Coron at The Riverhouse. From the moment we arrived to when we left we were welcomed by friendly smiles and hospitality plus. Judith (the owner) helped us out with anything we needed and we planned a dugong tour which was absolutely incredible. The location was perfect for us and the accommodation was clean, comfortable and everything was perfect. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Bing who looked after us. The food was fresh and everything we ate each night was delicious and varied. We'll never forget our stay at The Riverhouse and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Coron and we would love to return and stay again. We can't thank Judith and her staff enough for their hospitality.

The Riverhouse is a gem of a place to stay. It's nestled above the mangrove of the Decalachao River and the views are very atmospheric. The food is extremely well prepared and tasty, and the owner has given some thought to presentation, providing cloth napkins and nice layouts. There are a few things to do in the area, for example you can hire a scooter and go up the coast, or rent a kayak from the Riverhouse.

Absolutely fantastic!! Judith and her husband are the most amazing and genuine hosts! The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The Riverhouse is a bit out of the way from town so we had all our meals in-house and we couldn’t be happier with the vast menu, and delicious, home made quality of everything we ordered. The views from the breakfast terrace were stunning especially at sunrise. Kayaking on the river was a serene experience, but our private boat out to a secluded island with a private beach was definitely the highlight of our stay! They even packed us a picnic lunch to enjoy on the beach! Judith even helped us book massages right in our room. Overall such a relaxing, serene visit for our family! We will definitely return!
