Apartamentos Maxorata Beach

We was a party of three and we booked here because the apartments had two bedrooms and was a reasonable price, and they looked like they was spacious and we wouldnt be on top of each other. We came in late, as our flight was delayed and security checked us in. He was pleasant and took us to our room. I wont lie, I was abit taken back on the first night, the room was roasting, no ceiling fan, went to draw the curtains and there was a massive hole in them. In the morning I went to reception for a kettle but was told to go back after 12, as they was waiting for people to check out and have a shortage of kettles and was told to boil a pan of water. I've stayed in some basic places as my room is usually just a base, but I feel this is abit run down. Paying €150 deposit, I would like to think a kettle would come with the room not live in the dark ages and boil water. I went back, and still no kettle. So I decided I will just boil a pan of water for the rest of the holiday cause I couldnt be bothered spending my holiday going to reception for parts of my room. Anyways, the room is clean, the pool area is quiet and clean. The bar is clean and staff are friendly. Food was good I had pizza and the club sandwich. Location is great. I rented a fan for €12, and also the safe which i believe was also €12 for the week. I also rented a bike and cycles to popcorn beach. Having the windows and top balcony door open with a fan did the trick to cool the bedroom at night. I really did miss a ceiling fan or an aircon, so I will take this in to consideration when I book places from now on. From the sunburnt hotel sign, whacky colour scheme, the curtains that are full of holes, having no kettle, adding these all together, the place just needs some TLC. Spending abit of money on the rooms would really give this place so much more potential. Would i come back? Maybe if the price was right, because it was clean but i would consider spending abit more on a place where my room is better equipped, and ceiling fan or an air con. But saying that I have stayed in better for less than I paid for this holiday.

Clean and tidy apartment, nice food at the snack bar. Disappointed with the advertisement on love holidays, there is one pool not two and no fitness centre. Be aware of the $150 deposit on arrival and they do not take debit cards for this. No air con in the rooms, a fan is available for a charge. No kettle, or remote control in rooms either, available for a charge. A pleasant enough stay but read up before you go

We've just come back from a week here, arrived 4 hours before check in times so room was not quite ready but told to come back in a hour. The reception did all the check in procedure straight away so when we came back we just needed to get the key, let us leave our cases in the luggage room so we could go for a walk around without lugging them with us. Very friendly and polite staff at reception. Room was very good, nicely set out with plenty of room. Could do with a couple upgrades in the kitchen but you had most things you needed. For self catering I do think its not great to have to hire a kettle ( at 14euros for a week ) Beds were comfortable and rooms were nicely dark for sleep. Lots of hot water for showers. cleaning of rooms done about 5 times when we were there and never at early hours /breakfast time like in many places we have stayed, always about 10.30-12.00pm which is great. Grounds are nice and clean, tidied/swept/cleaned every day. Fob access to side entrances which keeps everything secure. very quiet complex and we would come back again. The 150euros deposit was mentioned on our booking advice and we saw in on many other sites telling people that from 01st June you would be charged so it was no surprise to us, we paid cash. Please note that does not cover the hire of the kettle, safe or fan ( no air con or ceiling fans in rooms) you have to pay extra for them. We thought we may struggle getting deposit back as we checked out before reception opened ( 08.00-22.00) but we just had to return safe key, fan and kettle after 18.00 the night before and they gave us the cash back there and then - no issues. well worth a stay, if you want a comfortable, quiet, clean complex in a great location for the beaches and the bars/restaurants.
