Barceló Corralejo Sands

Just returned from a lovely week at this fabulous hotel. I would recommend this resort as the hotel is just around the corner from the main shopping centre which we liked as we were holidaying with our teenage daughter. Having access to shops when needed was convenient for us and us women like shopping! Food - we thought the food was nice and on Xmas day it was outstanding. The bar area in the hotel is very reasonably priced think a cocktail around €7 euros and they were excellent! Entertainment - we thought the shows were very good. Didn't feel the need to go outside the hotel tbh on an evening with a very good show every evening and very good and reasonably priced drinks the bar area is nice and relaxing. Pool area - this is lovely and the hotel is very clean. Beautiful palm trees surround the pool and it is wonderful. Staff - amazing as everyone is so friendly and helpful. This really is why the hotel stands out from others as we found everyone to be so helpful and welcoming they are spot on with their customer service. The only downside if I had to say one was that there were not many younger guests and as we were travelling with our teenage daughter (only child) and she normally likes making new friends her age. Maybe because water park closed and island a lot quieter than Tenerife but I wouldn't let this put you off. Trips - we went to the zoo (highly recommend it was fab and a bus picks you up from the hotel). Think it takes an hour each way and you get to see the island. Excellent animal shows and the animals all look very well cared for. Dune buggy - my daughter and I did this and we both really enjoyed it. The buggy office is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel and this trip was great fun. Hired a car - went to the old capital called Betancuria was beautiful, La Olivia (nice with a lovely nativity) and port de Rosario (capital). Clothes are a lot cheaper than the UK as the large clothes shopping centre has a huge Zara! Would I recommend this hotel - yes .

Had a lovely week at this hotel. A big up to all the staff from Reception to cleaners to dining room staff and gardeners. Rooms are nice and spacious and was very clean. A small fridge came in useful and they gave us 2 complimentary bottles of water on arrival. Beds are very comfortable with the fluffiest pillows. Lovely shower and soft towels, hairdryer also in bathroom. Our room overlooked the pool and had a table and 2 chairs. A few reviews have mentioned the food. I thought breakfast had a great selection of hot and cold food, but had the slowest toaster ever....bread was lovely but minimal selection of jams and would have benefited by having little dishes to put jam in. Nice fruit juices, even had tomato juice. Evening meal always had something to please, the salad bar was particularly tasty. Usually a selection of pasta with a decent bolognese sauce and they were keen on the paella (both fish and meaty). Scrummy ice cream and waffle cones went down a treat. Sunbeds were comfortable and usually plenty available, although you did get the 9 am rush to get best beds, however they were pretty good at removing any towels on beds not occupied for some time. The grounds were kept beautifully. Some amazing trees and well maintained lawns and flower beds. If you are going over the Christmas period you will not be disappointed with the decorations and I imagine you will be very well looked after. Daytime entertainment staff worked hard and encouraged you to join in but were not pushy. We usually caught the end of the evening entertainment, which was pretty good, usually singers of a high standard. It was often quite amusing to see those guests who were obviously on all inclusive and had spent the evening getting their money's worth in the bar (not judging!) All in all, a very enjoyable week and would happily return to this lovely hotel, which is perfectly situated for all that Corralejo offers.

Not one for writing reviews. Stayed for two weeks with friends and family. Service provided was excellent and could not have asked for more. All staff were very attentive to any of our needs. The receptionist Maria and Paula went out of their way to ensure my mother-in-law was looked after as she had heart surgery the year before. Best family hotel anyone can stay at and centrally located in town. Rooms are very spacious and pool is salt water and very good. Food is great and very varied and accommodate anyone’s needs.

I f you are looking for a hotel that looks after its guests in Corralejo look no further, we have stayed here on numerous occasions it’s that nice here. Ali of the staff here no matter what role they have look to make your stay the best , for us Mario, Maria, Laura, Michael and Maria on reception are a real asset to the hotel and made our stay amazing as they have done on previous stays.We had booked All inclusive in a deluxe room with Whirlpool tub but we were upgraded to a suite with whirlpool tub room 2104 which is designed for four people over numerous floors double bedroom on ground floor with a bathroom and access to a terrace with table and chairs with easy access to the pool bar, there is a lounge with TV sette and chairs on the next floor, on the next is a twin room with bathroom , tv , tea and coffee making facilities and a small balcony, on the top floor there is a private terrace with sun loungers and a whirlpool outdoor tub. Food choices throughout the day are great and value for money at the pool bar and main restaurant as are the drink choices, the hotel is light and airy and is well maintained, looking for a hotel in a great location again look no further, we will be back. It was a sad to hear that Tristan the Guest Experience Manager is unwell and we wish him a speedy recovery but we were in good hands with Marlena.

Loved my stay in room 1211. Was delightful. Pool and facilities were fantastic. I’m a fussy eater and always found plenty on offer. Staff all hardworking and the place is spotless. The gardening team and cleaners work so hard and maintain excellent standards that sets this hotel out. Special mention to Micheal within the pool bar. Joseph and Maurcio (Italian waiter) I’m sure that was his name and Paola at reception for excellent observation, commitment and communication. Really impressed with the standard and loved every minute. The management maintain excellent training and service and couldn’t help that notice the holidays tag/ motto was all the small things make the difference. Which very much made me and my wife have a relaxing and beautiful break. We will be back in February.

Been here 3 times and would stay again. Love the jacuzzi suites with their own patio and sun loungers. Rooms are spotless. Safe should be free I have been to other hotels where it is free. Breakfast was good nice coffee. Very comfortable beds. WiFi a bit slow. Requested specific rooms and we given room in area we had asked for which was good. Great location. For all that corralejo has to offer but nice and quiet despite the road. We were not disturbed by road noise. Can check in before you arrive which speeds things up. Spa was lovely with massage at discount as we are Barceló members. Will definitely return again
