Barceló Corralejo Sands

Visited here Sep for 2 weeks, it was our 4th visit and it did not dissapoint. Unfortunatley i was poorly while i was there and had to go to hospital. I have to say the concern, kindness and support shown by the staff and management was second to none. All staff work endlesly and hard to make your stay a special one. We met some really lovely people, Special hello to Luca and staff in the pool bar you all work very hard. We look forward to seeing you next year.

Had a Great Weeks stay at this hotel. Great location, 10 minutes to the beach and 15 minutes to the old town/ harbour, also supermarket and fashion shops close by. We were allocated a 1st floor bedroom with balcony and pool view. It was super, large and comfortable and very clean, also had good air conditioning and tea making facilities. The pool area was very clean and well appointed, there was a small queue for sunbeds at 9am. The restaurant was good and also had the benefit of being partially outside and men didn't have to wear trousers which was a benefit for me. Breakfast was good with a wide choice, dinner was the same. The waiting staff were particularly helpful and friendly as Indeed were other staff members. Overall we had a great week, only niggle was poor WiFi

The hotel is nice and new and the suites wre spacious with good amenities. Theres a mini fridge witb water and tea and coffee facilities. the bedrooms large with a chair and a huge 65 in flat screen. Only 2 english channels but u can take a fire stick if u have one. We went half board and food is gery good plentiful even if u are a fussy eater. The AI in my view was not worth the money as its cheap to wat and drink out 2.5 € for a beer €15 fir a meal. The entertainment was ok but go out most nights. Beds see are big and comfy. Pool is spacious and sun beds are always available and we saw no loungers being grabbed first thing it was all quite civilised. Air con is average but the hotel itself is on a back rd literally 2 min walk to the lively strip in corralejo. Taxi from airport is €57. Overall a lovely hotel in a lovely resort. We will definitely come back. Good value ror money with staff who can speak english well. Hotel is immaculate throughout and staff are friendly and helpful.

Just returned from a 10 night stay here, we had a fabulous time. The staff were all fantastic, the staff in the pool bar were particularly helpful and took time to show us the menus and explain how everything worked. The animation team were all friendly, we enjoyed the aqua gym, daily challenge and the evening entertainment. This hotel is perfect if you want a clean, relaxing break where everything is taken care of. If you want all day / evening entertainment and a lively bar area, this possibly isn't the hotel for you as it is a bit more relaxed but it was perfect for what we wanted. Buffet food was good quality with lots of choices, what you would expect in a buffet with theme nights most nights. Pool bar menu was excellent. The theatre bar was also great with lovely cocktails. We will definitely be returning. Thanks to all for an enjoyable holiday.

Unfortunately disappointed with the holiday so far. Waited in line for the pool to open at 9 to find a lot of beds already taken with towels. Then a gentlemen was aggressive to myself & my Aunty because he wanted a bed that my Aunt was sat on. There were other beds available but he was demanding this particular one. He was shouting at us in another language, so we tried to tell him we speak English and don’t understand him, so he went and alerted staff and a manager came out. The man and manager proceeded to talk in another language for many minutes. We tried to explain to her that we hadn’t actually done anything wrong and her response was “I’m not arguing”. We tried to explain that neither were we however she really did not want to know our side at all and she just kept saying “I’m not arguing”. We tried to explain that no one was arguing but she just did not want to know. So I said that’s fine, I’ll just put it on trip advisor. She then asked me what my room number was (unsure if that was meant to scare me & deter me from leaving a bad review) Her attitude towards us I must say was just not very good. She could have dealt with it a lot better. My Aunty has came here for five years in a row. So to be treated unfairly by staff was very disappointing and a shame. It is my first time here & I would not come back based on today’s experience. Really hoping my opinion changes as the week goes on but today has left a sour taste. Also I wasn’t too impressed with breakfast this morning, I got down at 8.20 and it seemed like most things had been there for quite a while. Hoping tomorrow is a better day/experience. The one good thing I will say is that the hotel is lovely and clean and it is lit up beautifully outside for Christmas. Bathroom in room is nice and modern. There are nice big fresh towels in your room and even a tooth brush which I thought was a nice little touch. You have a key card to exchange towel from a fresh one also which is good.

Swift check in Lovely pool, no mad rush for sun beds in the morning Good variety of food, drink prices are reasonable but of course you can get cheaper at the local bars. Bed is super comfy Loved the wrist band as room key so never needed to worry who had the key or where it was. Make sure you check out O'Neills, but get in before 9 or its standing room only!
