The hotel was lovely, a little tired but the ambience, food and staff more than made up for it. The room was large and the homemade biscuits and fresh fruit was a lovely touch. Every single staff member from the cleaners, the waitress, the chef, the barman and the receptionists are all a credit to the hotel. As for the food, oh my, I feel the restaurant is worthy of at the very least two rosettes. The quality of the produce and the skills in the cooking were outstanding and made it a break to remember.

This is our third time staying here. We only live around 10 minutes away but love to come here for a treat. The local area is gorgeous, we like to park up and then do a long walk before going back to the hotel for amazing food. It really is a special place, the staff are friendly, the food is out of this world and the hotel itself just has a wonderful feeling to it. We are already planning our next stay and can't wait x

I stayed here for one night. Arrived at around 8pm and was shown to my room but the owner who was very friendly. We then dined in the restaurant which I could not fault. Breakfast the next morning was 10/10 again staff going over and above. I would definitely go back.

The location was excellent for our visit to Prescott Hillclimb. The room was very large and clean as was the bathroom and the bed was comfortable. The atmosphere was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast and evening meal were excellent and good value for money. We did not use any other facilities but the gardens looked great and it would have been nice to sit outside if the weather had been warmer.

We had our mother’s wake at Corse Lawn Hotel. Everything from the pre-communication, to the quality of service and standard of food and drink plus the beautiful and traditional setting was so dignified and perfect. Just a lovely hotel which was the setting Mum would have chosen herself.

Had a superb lunch sat out in the warm sunshine yesterday together with other customers enjoying the ambience of Corse Lawn Hotel. Food was excellent and the service equally so. Thanks for a lovely relaxing afternoon-bit sleepy after! We’re booked to return for dinner with friends later in the month. Thanks everyone.

We visited for lunch and it did not disappoint. A friendly welcome from reception and we were shown to the restaurant reception to look at the menu and have drink with complimentary cheese biscuits that were divine. The food was beautifully presented and delicious (highly recommend the pigeon breast dish and the lemon posset) and the service was attentive. The set menu was very good value too. We only live a few minutes away and we cannot believe we’ve never been there before but we’ll certainly make it a regular occurrence from now on.

The location is beautiful as is the building. However, everything else about this place indicates a distinct lack of investment and detailed care. The welcome and check out were both distinctly cold and abrupt. Warmth and cheerfulness was absent from the entire staff. My room and immediate environs were tired and in desperate need of refurb. An electric heater was an inadequate substitute for a failed heating system in both the bedroom and bathroom on a cold evening and following morning. The breakfast was a disaster; a pitiful yoghurt fruit salad with not a berry to be seen, and a bland almost inedible fried offering. It was included in the room price but not worth the price shown on the menu in excess of £15. Why is it that the owners of some of these old beautiful buildings so often rely on their history and externals to justify the price in their attempt to compensate for their neglect. This is the second I have experienced in as many months. It is ultimately an insult to the paying customer.

I mirror the previous reviews. Our overnight stay with friends didn't disappoint. The hotel was warm and cosy on a chilly day. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and the dinner was first class. Our room was perhaps in need of a refresh but nonetheless, like the bathroom, was immaculate. The breakfast topped off a thoroughly enjoyable stay being varied and interesting. So Thank you to all involved, we hope to be back.
