We loved the BOCO hotel! Quirky rooms and arty decor, which makes for an interesting stay. Great location in a very interesting, friendly neighbourhood. We found it easily from the ferry from Valletta, although initially it's a bit of a climb uphill with luggage! The penthouse honesty bar is a great plus and the view from the terrace is fantastic, and a wonderful place to eat breakfast or for a late night drink. Breakfast choices were good and set us up for the day well. It was a pleasure to meet Tony (and hear the tale of BOCO man) and his lovely, helpful staff, Kunal and Shanaia. Thank you, we will be back!

The hotel was difficult to find as it was in a maze of narrow streets and alleyways. The room was adequate however we found the door very difficult to open, the bed small and the mattress uncomfortable. Being over 6" I had to stoop or risk banging my head every time I went to the bathroom. Breakfast was carefully rationed (see photo) and choice very limited. On a more positive note the view from the roof garden over the city was good.

Had a 3 night stay in March, quirky room, small but adequate. Everywhere was very clean and the location was perfect! Quiet residential area on a slope though if you have mobility problems. Ferry 5’ away and for about €2 each way it takes you over to Valletta in about 15’ Kinal was amazing, so friendly and helpful a real plus! Breakfast was the only negative thing to mention. When we booked they offered buffet but whilst we stayed they trialed order the night before! Portions small and at times it was all very confusing we observed! Shanaia was also very friendly and helpful but at times struggled to assist with requests. We appreciate this was only a trial and maybe has returned to buffet but bare it in mind as portion also restricted. Extras are available at extra charge

Fantastic location in quiet street not far from restaurants, sites and ferry to Valletta. Brilliant service and comfy bed in decent sized room. Great view from the penthouse balcony (lucky enough to be there when Malta International Fireworks display was on)

You won’t regret staying at BOCO’s Boutique Hotel ! Tony and his staff give you that great welcoming feeling and take their time to explain everything, from what to see, to where to eat and how to get there! Well situated, you can do a lot by foot, historical sites, restaurants & bars or just strolling through the beautiful streets. Public transport to a lot of places is nearby as is the ferry to go to Valletta. I had a room with balcony at the street side with a spacious bathroom! If you’re a light sleeper, don’t forget your earbuds, because noises from the street can travel to your room even in this calm street. Thanks very much guys for a wonderful experience and especially to Shanaia for the great conversations

This beautiful boutique hotel is a most interesting and well located place to explore the island of Malta and Valletta from it as a base. The friendly staff, the comfortable beds and good linen, the tastefully decorated rooms,, the delicious breakfast and the amazing terrace views they all contribute to a joyful stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy hotel, perfectly situated in the center of the city. The bus routes nearby are super convenient, and it’s just a quick stroll to the ferry. The hotel is very charming, with a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. What you see in the photos is exactly what you get. Don’t miss out on the rooftop terrace - it has an absolutely breathtaking view. Plus, there’s a bar up there where you can relax and enjoy a romantic evening with the night lights of the city. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

We had an amazing trip to Malta and spent the week at this lovely Boutique Hotel. We had such a warm welcome from Tony. We booked room 545, which has the larger balcony with a beautiful view over the harbour to Valletta. The room was immaculately clean. The only thing lacking was a set of drawers, there were two small bedside drawers. If you want to experience the quieter side of traditional Malta, without being in the city of Valletta, the 3 cities is the place to stay. Close to the airport, easy boat trip to Valletta. There is a steep hill back to the hotel each day when coming back from the harbour, which needs to be considered when booking this hotel. We loved it! Nice and quiet with a personal service, clean and comfortable.

BOCO Hotel is not just a hotel, it’s a place where you depart as friends. Just as it’s slogan states. The hotel experience is definitely one of the best I’ve had. It’s clean, super nice and good staff, cozy and unique. Breakfast is cozily served in the basement with the feeling of staying at someone’s home. The design, interior and feeling of the hotel all comes from the heart. You can truly feel the soul of the hotel. If you want a great experience in Malta, please stay at BOCO Hotel then. Moreover, besides the brilliant staff, you will also meet Tony the owner who makes this place alive. A truly great hotelier and newfound friend.
