H10 Tindaya

We had a lovely welcome to the hotel by reception, we were given lots of paperwork to read about the hotel, and had some water and chocolates on the table when we arrived in to our rooms. We found our room, and they were spacious and up to date. Although there was no kettle in the standard double rooms, and even after requesting one, it didn’t arrive. Air con worked well. Room cleaned regularly. The safe is €20 to use, which is ridiculous that you have to pay to protect your stuff from their staff. The food was poor, often stone cold, limited choices, very repetitive, and no children’s options. Lots of long ques to get to the food stations such as the pancakes, or omelets or pasta or fish/meat stations. Often you were waiting on food to be refilled, or for plates or glasses so you can get a drink or some food because they have ran out of clean ones, there is a lack of staff and nothing is topped up very quickly at all. You even had to que to get into the restaurant, often there was plenty of tables available but they were full of dirty plates, as there just was not enough staff to cope. I would often walk past the que and go and move the dirty plates on to another table, then go behind the waiters station, get clean cutlery so we could sit down and eat, rather than wait 40+ minutes with a 5 year old getting bored and miserable in the queue. There were two front of house staff at the entrance of the dinning room, who just stood and watched the waiters clearing tables, no one seems to help others, to get the jobs done, it’s not their job, and they certainly do not help. They just stand and watch! The snack bar was vile, and the chef even worse, cold hard pizza was served every day, amongst other things and nothing replaced until it was gone regardless of the condition of the food. They would run out of clean plates, or cutlery, and no one was in a rush to top them up. I plated some food up at the snack bar one day, by the time someone had brought more cutlery out, my food was absolutely stone cold and inedible, so I threw the whole lot away and started again. Bins were often over flowing, dirty plates piled up. It seemed there just was not enough staff, and it wasn’t the problem of other staff to help. There was a lovely little coffee shop, that’s only open during the day, it doesn’t hold any pool safe cups, so you have to go down to the pool, to get some plastic cups to be able to get the drinks to take them around the pool. The coffee shop isn’t near the pool. The pool area was also dirty, we didn’t want to put our bare feet on the floor next to our sun lounger so often remained in our flip flops. The bins over flowed. It was the life guards that collected cups from around the pool. Doing multiple jobs. The pools are salt water. The pool bar pool is the warmest, but the kids were not allowed any toys or inflatables in there, and the life guard was so strict and rude. Such an amazing hotel. I know it’s a late review but I honestly enjoyed my time there and every staff was so lovely and respectful. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I kept extending my stay because it was just peaceful there. The breakfast is too tier and very fresh

Hotel Just got home. We were a party of 2 adults and stayed for 10 nights all inclusive in June 2024. Room 226 Location - Quiet but suited us. Overlooks a beautiful beach with access to other lovely beaches. Room - Booked a ‘superior’, sea view room. The room was spotlessly clean but it was very basic. No coffee making facilities - you could hire them at a cost. Also you had to pay for a safe. View from the room was amazing. Recommend you book a sea view room. Bars - During the day only the pool bar is open if you want an alcoholic drink. There were constant queues at all bars of between 5-10 minutes. At night people were ordering double the amount of drinks needed so they didn’t have to keep going to the bar. This meant each order took twice as long. At night 3 hard working staff to manage two bars isn’t enough. Entertainment - Typical hotel entertainment. Professional acts most nights. No piano bar type area to sit and have a drink at night. Restaurant - Simply not enough staff and the staff that were working weren’t the quickest.Tables not cleared quickly enough, with a constant wait for people for tables. No one seemed in charge. The whole system needs a major overhaul and some management presence would definitely help. Food Quality - Plenty of choice and good quality. There were snacks at the pool bar. Service - There’s not enough staff in every area of the hotel. If you’re Spanish you seemed to get more attention. English guests represented about 10% of the total guests with the majority made up of Spanish, German and Dutch Pool area - Two excellent pools and one for the Privilege guests. The two we used - one heated - were very good. Always clean, safe and one pool had plenty of slides for the kids Tui Rep - there wasn’t one. If you wanted to speak to your rep it was at 5.15pm on a Wednesday in a hotel half a mile away! Extra charge - We booked in on Wednesday 5th June at 10pm. Our leave date was Saturday 15th June. We had to vacate our room at noon and our transfer was 4.35pm. We had to pay an extra 10 euros each to keep our all inclusive status from 12 noon to 4.35pm! So our holiday in our opinion was short by 10 hours. The 10pm check to the 12 noon check out. We paid the extra. Overall - This hotel was excellent in some areas but they need more staff in the bar areas and restaurant. The good points make it a 4 star…but only just. But it could easily be so much better with a few more staff and better organisation

We just came back from our vacation. We spent seven nights at that great place with our 2-year-old daughter. Although the hotel's location may not be the best, it's not the worst either. The private beach was great, and the room was spacious enough. The sand and water were also great. The pools were clean and warm. Two of them were heated, and one had slides but was not heated. The temperature of the unheated pool was still acceptable. The service and staff were great, and the hotel was clean and well-presented. The food presentation was great. The main meals were perhaps a bit repetitive, but all the other sides and fresh juices were wonderful. Desserts—I think this was an area the hotel could improve because the variety and amount were poor. A great addition was the coffee shop, unfortunately only open from 1:00 p.m. American restaurant not even worth to go, food was same like in main restaurant... long time to get food. The bars were okay, but sometimes there were queues during peak times. The exclusive zone—I don't think it's worth it unless you are older and looking for peaceful places during the day. Overall, it's a really good hotel. I would definitely come back at some point.

We have just returned from a two-week holiday at the H10 Tindaya, Costa Calma in Fuerteventura. We went all-inclusive with the “Privilege” option and managed to get the same room (427) as last year, and again what an excellent hotel this is, with some improvements since last time. The recently built poolside pool-side bar with hot food served at lunch time has been well worth the investment by H10. The food is cooked in front of you, occasionally there are BBQ meats available. With all the usual expectations of choice, mixed salads, fruit, fries, Canarian potatoes, pizza, sausage, burgers, chicken etc. eating outside with the sea view is a memory not easily forgotten. Alternatively, you can have lunch in the main dining area, including outside tables where there is far more choice available and a vast range of desert options. Drinks, both soft and alcoholic, including various wines are on hand for you to help yourselves with little queuing time. My only issue with the food in general was that on some occasions, dishes that had once been piping hot do cool down and can be too cold for my pallet. There is a microwave in the main buffet area should you need to use it however. Going with the privilege option opens up two additional Al a Carte restaurants, Route 66 and Alisios. Route 66 is based on an American theme and whilst the room is filled with an interesting décor, including two very nice motorbikes, we thought the food in the main buffet area to be superior and with far more choice. It is nice to sit down at a table and be served, but we were slightly let down by this experience and so only used Route 66 on the one occasion. It may be more suited to young children who seem to crave for burgers and fries which I assume would have been tasty. The second Al a Cart option, Alisios offers an environment that is much quieter than the main buffet area. The tables are well spaced with table cloths, there is a good ambiance like if you were going out for a meal to a nice restaurant. The food is very good and we have no complaints here. The staff were excellent and the food was served quickly. (Thank you Sarah and Barbara) We ate in the Alisios restaurant about eight times for our evening meals, but it is nice to have a change occasionally and so we used the main buffet where again there is far more choice available. The drinks are all branded top quality, excellent cocktails and various wines, so being all inclusive we could allow ourselves to sample the many varieties. The staff work incredibly hard behind the bars and service is polite with a smile and with little, if any waiting time. We had a sea view room that was spacious, well fitted out, bath/shower. Cleaners came every day to replace towels and re-stock the toiletries. No need to bring shower gels or hand wash, conditioner etc. It was all there. The mini-bar was topped up each day with quality drinks and bottled water. The air conditioner worked perfectly and the beds were comfortable

On my return I noticed that most of the photos on their website was for the Spa, which by the way was extra. I was a bit disappointed as after 7pm the hotel lacked "entertainment" and the queue for the small bar was about a 20 minutes wait. This didn't warrant the all inclusive to be honest. As you cant go anywhere outside you are more or less stuck there. Staff were very good but under staffed. Food was average. I saw quite a few cockroaches, one of them in my bath towel! Although I showed the reception desk staff the dead insect they were all just very sympathetic. The beach was probably the best place to get a tan in peace and quiet. By the way you cant get a coffee between 6pm-7pm which was very bizarre.

This is our second visit, first was last June 2023 when the pool bar was closed for refurbishment. Neither TUI nor the hotel informed us prior to our arrival. As the bar forms the centre for very good hot food and drinks. This year’s surprise was that they had given over the large quiet pool to Privilege guests. Which very few of them ever use, which means the remaining pool areas are crowded. Not just because of spaces but the fact that the privilege guest find it better as they don’t have to walk up the garden and over the bridge to get a drink. Unless they want warm cava or water. We hope they see that they have made a mistake and we go back to being able to sunbathe without boom boom music from 10 am. The maids only ever pull up the top sheet and leave the bottom sheet as it was after we had slept in it, we remade the bed most nights. The food is excellent with lots of great shell fish and prawns most days. And the salmon, smoked and done on the hot plate was top quality. Route66 was excellent. The drinks are as you expect from H10, excellent. The 10 or 12 euros you pay for A/Inclusive after checkout is very unfair. Most guests arrive late pm and depart mid afternoon so they have a rushed dinner on arrival and have to pay for lunch on departure. The hotel told me it balanced as morning arrivals can have breakfast and lunch. Everyone knows there are very few guests who arrive in time for lunch let alone breakfast. I am unaware of any other H10 who pull this stunt. Would we stay again? Yes probably but only once they give back our pool, they simply cannot take away a pool to make a fast buck.

We have paid for the privilage service!does not worth it.if you come just pay for half board.Guests on half board got the same treatment,like,they can drink eat what and whenever they want.they should be charged for any drinks,but noone cares,nobody needs to pay!as not the guests fault,but it is not fair charging more for all incluseve and for the privilige guests!!
