Let me start by stating that the hotel reception staff, and cleaners are wonderful. There are 3 maybe 4 wait/pool bar staff that are nice aswell, but that's the minority. Breakfast and dinner was quite tense a lot of the time due to the mainly older male staff being quite rude, or ignoring you entirely, tables are set for 2 when you enter the dining hall, this is the first time I've stayed anywhere where you don't give your room number on entry, and as such being a family of four we had to wait for the table to be laid for another 2 places, one night this took more than 10 mins, so my wife used the cutlery from another table, which made one of the older male wait staff tut, and shake his head, then complain to his peer about it. After this we had to wait another 10 mins to have our drink order taken. Not the kind of experience we are used to in a four star hotel. The food is okay, although I did struggle on a couple of occasions to find something nice, I understand this is a large hotel with a varied clientele, so no massive issue. On one occasion I was served a burger that was very pink inside, and another friend of ours was served turkey that wasn't cooked through. The real let down with this hotel is the sunbed situation, a 416 room hotel that has 3 pools, But less than 100 sunbeds, which are all covered in towels by 8:30am, even though every table has a sign saying not to reserve sunbeds, this was not addressed at all for the 7 days we were here, so in order to get a seat by one of the pools (to be able to keep an eye on our young child) you had to play the game aswell, which led to 7am tag team to claim sunbeds. The pool bar/lunch area is ok, although the pizza oven was out of order the whole time we were there, and there was no lasagna for some reason, which narrowed down the choice of lunches (we were half board) to a some sandwiches, hotdogs, burgers (if cooked properly!) and chips and pasta, were were only here for 7 days and it got repetitive quite quickly. The hotel itself is lovely, nice rooms, small balconies with drying racks, and chairs with tables, and the lobby bar is light and airy after a day in the sun, the main bar downstairs isn't as good, the entertainment is a bit rough, and there is little to no entertainment for kids, and as with the sunbeds, there isn't enough outdoor seating, leading to someone asking if you are using a chair when the occupier has gone to the bar or bathroom, which led to more than one tense situation while we were there. The hotel is kind of isolated, in that the small town it's in has a handful of local shops, a spar, and chemist, but not much else. The closest beach is great, a bit windy, but that's the canaries! All in all, I wouldn't recommend this hotel, which is a shame, as it's a lovely building, with an amazing view, and great pools. But quite a lot of rude/impatient staff, lack of sunbeds, and 3 star food would stop me from returning. I'm sure there are nicer hotels, that are close
