Columbia River Inn

We were at the big Visitors Center of the Grand Coulee Dam. We walked across the street and were lucky to get a room in this local motel. It is very clean and well managed, safe, very nice staff offering muffins and coffee in the mornings. We enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub! Room had fridge and microwave, and it is walking distance to restaurants. We encountered both deer and wild turkeys when we crossed the road again in the evening to see the nightly light show at the dam. I wish we had stayed longer to see beautiful Banks Lake and Steamboat Rock State Park. We will be back and plan a longer stay.

The staff was very friendly upon check in and the rooms were small and rustic. There was a fridge and coffee maker and they also included muffins and coffee in the office in the morning. The weather was very hot when we were there so the air conditioner was a must.

I booked for 2 nights but they had roofers overhead all day and the pool was full of gnats . Would never go there again . When I asked if we could check out after staying one night the manager said no only if they could rent it again ! Then they would refund the second night …. Right like they actually would . Nothing to do in This town the light show at the damn was cool that’s all I can say about it . If you fish and hike maybe you can find annoyed reason to go to this place !
