Overall, this would be a good hotel property - not amazing - but good. However, the insanely bright flashing light of the smoke detector (compared to smoke detectors in dozens of other hotels rooms I've stayed in through years of work-related and recreational travel) requires a WARNING: Bring a sleep mask. Or you may want to pack some masking tape or duct tape to temporarily cover the bulb of the smoke detector (of course, without doing anything that would interfere with its operation). This may not be an issue if you are not a heavy sleeper or if you find flashing lights restful. Even sleeping in a position that faced away from the detector, the intense, flashing, green light (about every 10 seconds) lit up the ceiling, walls, and sides of the pillow. I've experienced issues with flashing smoke detector lights before - but none like this one. Who was the unqualified buffoon at Marriott who selected this model for a room intended for sleep?! Apart from this [significant, for me] flashing-light-in-room issue, the hotel was decent. It seemed safe and reasonably clean. The rate was reasonable. The front desk staff were professional and competent. Bedding was comfortable. The location is convenient for accessing nearby downtown Omaha. The setting is a little bland - in the middle of an area of parking lots and sports venues. You'll need a car to get to more interesting areas of Council Bluffs & Omaha for meals, etc. The soundproofing is not great. We could hear our neighbors TV clearly most evenings as well as noise in the hallways. The hotel provides coffee but does not offer tea - in the rooms or in the front lobby. I guess the same genius who saved money by buying a combo smoke detector/lighthouse decided that lowering service another notch in order to save $0.50 per guest (on tea) was a smart idea for a business in the hospitality industry. A final note on the smoke detector. The light bulb on this model illuminates both on the outside (like most models) but also (deviously!) within the inside of the plastic frame - and the frame has a big grating. So even if you put a small piece of tape or a band-aid on the exposed, outside part of the bulb, you will still get to see some flash from within the grating. With apologize to the reader if this review seems a bit obsessed with the smoke detector, but I have stayed in literally hundreds of hotel rooms and not experienced a flashing smoke detector light THIS intense before. My primary goal for my hotel room is sleep, and it boggles my mind that someone chose a model with a very bright flashing light for a hotel room. Come prepared.

Room was one of the cleanest I’ve stayed in for a long time. Definitely will stay here again. Staff had a huge line at check in because everyone flooded in at once. They were still super friendly & helpful. We didn’t check in soon enough to try the pool, bar or fire pit but they all looked nice & clean to.

My kids and I travelled here for a baseball tournament. This hotel was packed due to the tournament and Men’s College World Series. As many kids that were staying here and roaming around the staff was absolutely amazing. Customer service was at a high level and all of the staff members showed great patience. My experience with staff across all departments was awesome. This location was no more than 20 minutes from every field we needed to be at and about 10 mins from downtown Omaha. There are a couple of restaurants in walking distance as well. It was clean and well maintained, the pool kept the kiddos busy and the patio provided a great space for parents to hangout.

Newer Location with all modern device ports,etc. Pleasant staff and all you would always expect from a Marriott, super bed, Starbucks, nice TV, and all the extras I have in my profile (those usually don’t show up but here they did!). Thank you.

The staff at this hotel are an amazing group of people who truly care about their guest’s experience. Regan, Briar and Mariah were always helpful and responsive when we needed something. Bob, Steven and Edward were so wonderful at shuttling us to nearby destinations, and Bob did a great job of fixing our AC by replacing the thermostat. Housekeeping is also impressive. We opted not to have our room made up each day, so we would occasionally seek them out for fresh towels or to have our trash emptied and they were always happy to assist us, specifically Cynthia and Victoria. Also, we always found someone from housekeeping cleaning and maintaining the common areas. There were a lot of families staying here for a boys baseball tournament and the College World Series, so there was a lot to clean up at the end of every evening, and in the morning, but the housekeeping staff did an excellent job of cleaning everything up. The food at the bistro was quite good, both at breakfast and dinner. Daniel & Salvador were so professional, courteous and helpful. We’ve stayed at a lot of Marriott properties and this one is very well managed. Would definitely recommend.

Horrible service from the general manager. After several attempts to resolve my issues with my stay. As a marriot gold member who is very loyal the service I received was horrible with no follow up. After several bug bites will never stay here again.

Needed to leave a day early and there was no working with me on it. I stayed checked into the room and left since if I had checked out they would've cleaned the room and sold it again thus getting my money still and money for reselling it. Went down to try out the breakfast the second morning since we had some time to kill before we had to be at our event. We were there and waited over 25 minutes for our food along with another person in our group traveling and a few others. People who ordered after us were getting food and it wasn't until we pointed it out to the cashier that we had been skipped did they realize their error. Our extra time to eat disappeared and we ended up having to take our food upstairs and eat on the go while finishing getting ready. Redheaded woman at the front desk was pleasant as was younger woman working the desk. Property was clean and it being within walking distance of our venue was helpful.

We checked into the hotel Friday. Our daughter became sick Saturday and we quarantined to the room. We were hopeful she would feel better, and we could continue with our trip. She was up all-night Saturday. I went to the front desk around 8am Sunday. I asked if we checked out if we would be charged for Sunday. The manager told me we could stay until noon, and we would not be charged for Sunday evening. I told the manager if we were going to be charged, we would stay quarantined instead of making a 3-hour trip home. We decided to leave at 9am, so that we could take get medical care in our home state. The manger printed me off the receipt for the two nights and we left. To our surprise we were charged 3 nights. They did not call to tell us. We called to find out why they charged us 3 nights since they checked us out for two. The manager and the general manager told us we needed to email proof that our daughter was hospitalized. We emailed documentation from the hospital stating she was positive and treated for acute bronchitis and FLU B. They told us they were still going to charge us because when we left the hotel Saturday our daughter didn’t have a mask on. We didn’t have a mask being we didn’t have symptoms Friday when traveling to the hotel. The manager told us our daughter didn’t look sick enough despite the medical documentation. BE CAREFUL of this hotel. Check what they run your cards for even after you receive your receipt. We were upset enough about our daughter getting sick and ending up in the emergency room instead of our original plans. However, they told us to leave because we were contagious, now they are not honoring what they said. It blows my mind; a hotel manager says that someone doesn’t look sick enough when we provided documentation from a medical doctor. We typically choose Marriott Hotels when traveling but this experience is unbelievable. I would not be as upset about this situation if they had not told us to leave and “not worry about it.” The fact that they just charged our card without calling us to update us is unprofessional. The customer service at this hotel is below average.
