Lavender Barn West is one of two adjoining cottages. The cottages are purpose built in Cotswold stone. They are well furnished and comfortable.(The two cottages can be rented together, to provide accommodation for 8 guests. The interconnecting door is kept locked unless the two properties are rented together.)The cottage is very well located, only a few hundred metres from the centre of Bourton on the Water. Bourton offers many tourist attractions, shops and restaurants. It is an all year round destination and its pretty high street with the river and many stone bridges is know as the Venice of the Cotswolds.The cottage offers 2 bedrooms, which sleep 4 people. One bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, the other has an ensuite shower room with a large 1500 shower. (The bedrooms do have sloping ceilings in places.) Downstairs is open plan, with a well equipped kitchen area with electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Sitting area, with comfortable seating and French doors to the patio. A beautiful Grade II Listed period stone cottage situated in Bourton-on-the-Water with off road parking.Bourton-on-the-Water is known as 'Venice of the Cotswolds' and Cloisters cottage is located in the heart of the village, only 100 yards from the main street and the River Windrush. Beautifully furnished, with period features including a wealth of beams, stone mullion leaded windows and exposed stone and timbers.This beautiful cottage boasts a wealth of character and benefits from generously proportioned rooms. The large kitchen / breakfast room has a range of oak fitted units and an extensive range of appliances - including washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, oven and hob. There is also an oak table with seating for four. The conservatory features a large oak refectory dining table with seating for six and is surrounded by exposed stone and timber and overlooks the garden. There is also a cloakroom On the ground floor with w.c. and wash hand basin. The lounge has a delightful stone fireplace with timber lintel, a Cotswold stone canopy and leather sofas surrounded by oak furniture. There is also a TV and DVD, along with a music system.The first floor consists of one double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both with en-suite shower rooms which have a w.c. and wash hand basin. The double bedroom has a dual aspect and contains a range of traditional oak furniture. The twin bedroom has a fitted wardrobe.The second floor contains another twin bedroom, which features a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and stone mullion windows. There is also a family bathroom opposite which compromises modern sanitary ware set around beams and stone.Outside there is a small South facing garden which contains Cotswold stone walls and mature flower beds. The room features a large oak refectory dining table with seating for eight, mullion windows and a feature fireplace with electric fire. The Sitting room overlooks the River Windrush and features a period stone open fireplace (for decorative use only) along with designer sofas and oak furniture. There is also a TV and DVD.
