Prospect Cottage is a two bedroom cottage in the lovely village of Chittlehampton situated a few miles south of Barnstaple in easy reach of the North Devon coast and Exmoor. The cottage is several hundred years old and has been renovated and offers excellent accommodation for up to four people. Situated on the square in the heart of the village, next to the large parish church and local school and 50 paces from the award winning Bell Inn which has a reputation for good food and quality beer. There is a general store closeby. During the current Covid-19 crisis we have introduced additional practices after each stay to ensure our guests are as safe as possible, including cleaning and disinfecting all high-touch surfaces and cleaning floors, walls, blinds, and other low-touch surfaces with hot water and detergent. Greenfields Cottage used to be the workshop of William Budd the village carpenter back in the 18th century. The Pub next door is named Billy Budds for this very reason! The cottage is accessed directly from the footpath to Croyde beach. There is parking for one car included on the other side of the footpath in a small private car park. If you are bringing more than one car there is a large village car park for a small fee.Changeover day is Friday in peak holiday times, Off peak, Changeover day can be flexible, please enquire.Downstairs-A hall way with coat hooks and shoes storage leads to an open plan living , dining, kitchen area. Our garden runs alongside your cottage.Croyde-Croyde is a chocolate box quaint village with one of the best surf breaks in the UK. There a a wealth of choice for eating out, and also some incredible food trucks keep cropping up for hassle free evening beach picnics.We are on traffic free footpath to Croyde beach, its a 5-10 min walk from your front door to the beach. Easy with a surf board. For keen walkers from Croyde beach you can pick the SW coastal path.
