The location provides easy access for ocean-bound or waterway fishing trips including day trips to island beaches nearby. The beach is a short 10-minute walk. A large beach cart is provided with room for a cooler and beach chairs. There are also 4 beach chairs and a corn hole board available for your use.When you arrive...- The prevalent "change-over" day occurred the day before. It is much easier (traffic) to get here.- Linens are provided. Not only are the linens provided, but the BEDS ARE MADE TOO! If RENTED FOR THE ENTIRE WEEK, towels will also be provided.- You discover that all of the basic supplies you will need for your stay are stocked and waiting. Even the spice cabinet is loaded up for your use. Maybe you do not need to go to the store after arrival.- You have 2 refrigerators. The downstairs refrigerator is turned down for cold beverage storage and has an ice maker. The upstairs refrigerator also has an ice maker and is the place for food storage.- Since you are arriving on Sunday, not the prevalent "change-over" day, the landing shouldn't be as crowded when you go to put your boat in the water. I also suggest loading the boat back on the trailer 11 am and 2 PM on Saturday to avoid the peak time the landing is used.The front and back decks have been renovated with cabled railings. There are gathering places on both decks but mainly on the back deck. The back deck has been redesigned to provide more usable space. on the back deck, there is a patio table with seating for 8 people. There is also a picnic table that provides ample seating for 6 people. And there are rockers for people like me who just enjoy sitting out and watching the boat traffic on the canal and intra-coastal waterway.The kitchen has been completely renovated with new cabinets and countertops. More storage space was added.The vanities in both bathrooms have been updated.The old windows have been replaced with "quiet" and hurricane-rated windows. Large living area, 4 bedrooms / 2 baths upstairs / 2 bedrooms / 1 bath downstairs. Sleeps, 13 people. Decks on the front and the canal side of the house upstairs. It also includes a patio and outdoor shower downstairs. A floating dock at the end of the walkway provides convenient docking space, flounder fishing, or a platform for swims in the canal.A washer, dryer, AND an additional refrigerator/freezer with an icemaker are provided downstairs in the storage room.There is no need to go anywhere else (by land) after arrival. The patio downstairs includes all of the cooking tools needed (grills, 2-eye gas burner, etc.) to prepare your own feasts.Ample parking for 6 vehicles.NOTE: There is a $100 Administrative Fee (per booking) added to the price for renting our cottage. Peak season rentals are from Sunday to Sunday.Linens are supplied and the beds are made, waiting for you to get here! The cottage is supplied with the necessities such as beach chairs (at least 4), a corn hole board, some kids' toys, and even a spice cabinet for your convenience to complement your stay.All kitchen appliances (except the microwave) were replaced in March of 2024. The HVAC system was replaced in December 2024. The refrigerator even has a dual-capacity icemaker.Majestic views of the Atlantic Ocean! Sip on your favorite morning beverage and watch the sunrise. In the winter, you could watch the sunrise and the sunset from the ocean-side deck! Of course, you could take a few steps down the boardwalk to the beach and have solitude during the sunrises and sunsets. Keep the lights off and stargaze at night. Have you ever used the "SkyVue" app on your phone?Have a small sailboat or catamaran? Unload/Load once near the pier and leave it between the dunes and the boardwalk during the night while you stay there! The beach is wide during low tide which provides great opportunities for shelling, walking, or jogging the beach. And a shower is just a few steps away to rinse off when you get back.Being that this location is one of the less populated areas of the beach, there is minimal competition to get the perfect location on the surf to set up your "stuff" on the beach.A great place for games on the beach. When it comes time to get off the beach for the day, all that stuff can be left inside the dunes and near the steps to the boardwalk without bringing it back to the house. Setups can't be any easier!Do the kids want to putt-putt? Go get ice cream? Go to the pier? It's a short walk to those destinations. A golf cart is not needed.Want to stay at home and not go out to eat? Downstairs is set up with gas and charcoal grills and a great place to enjoy happy hours as meals are prepared. We also have a propane burner and a big pot for shrimp boils. It is also a great place to play games (corn hole) if it's raining.The outside shower is spacious and private.Large living area, 4 bedrooms / 2 baths upstairs. 2 bedrooms / 1 bath downstairs.
