We have owned our family cottage for over forty years and have thoroughly enjoyed each and every moment. About four years ago we decided to share our f cottage with VRBO guests so others could enjoy it as well - thus far the experience has been great!From our very first VRBO reservation we decided that a clean and comfortable cottage for our guests is something we will take very seriously and since then have made it our number one priority! We want our guests to relax and unwind, get away from the daily rush and escape to our lovely family cottage located in Lexington Heights! Just a short walk down to the beautiful private beach of Lake Huron! Our spacious three-bedroom cottage offers a fully updated stocked kitchen, dining area, living room with additional dining table and ceiling fans in each room. The large, oversized lot has plenty of room for yard games, features a picnic tables, mature shade tree and the opportunity to relax by the firepit (wood not provided). For your convenience we own an additional large lot across the street to park your vehicles, boats and jet skis - so bring your toys. Four miles north is the charming little harbor village of Lexington on the shores of Lake Huron, there you can walk the pier, check out the marina and/or reserve a slip, stroll in and out of all the little unique shops, dine by the water, grocery shop, utilize the boat ramp, enjoy the public beach, attend a concert (schedule posted at cottage), play at the playground, swim or just relax and sun bath. Welcome to our cozy lake home located in a QUIET cottage community, just steps away (4 houses) from the water with a water view from both the spacious Florida Room and front yard. Short, beautiful walk to the Beach Access located at the end of the street. The cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen, ready for a home cooked meal or visit one of the one of the excellent local restaurants, ranging from casual to fine dining, just minutes away in Downtown Lexington. There are also many fun shops and a performing arts theatre if you would enjoy a day of shopping or catch a show in the evening! The comfortable living room is equipped with a gas fireplace for cooler evenings, flat screen TV, Roku, Wi-Fi, and a Queen Sleeper Sofa for once the day is through. The additional sleeping accommodations include the master featuring a Queen bed with a sliding glass door overlooking the tranquil, fenced back yard. A secondary bedroom offers another queen bed with a twin loft above. The updated full bathroom has a Tub/Shower with medicine cabinet for storage of personal toiletries. A limited number of toiletries provided along linens (sheets, towels, washcloths). This home includes a laundry room with washer & dryer combo (detergent not provided) and features an On Demand Tankless Water Heater for much needed showers after a full day at the Beach. Please bring your own beach towels. We kindly ask that you do not remove or use the towels provided for showers as beach towels. Community Amenities include a boat ramp, playground, and overflow parking for a boat, trailer, or guest vehicle. On property parking has space for several vehicles but a max height of 7’. Don’t want to be away from your pets or need to save the additional cost of boarding while on vacation? Don’t worry, this Cottage offers a fenced, Pet Friendly home & yard for an additional fee. Please be sure to use the waste bags provided to pick up after pets during walks and also within the fenced back yard (an additional fee will be charged if pet waste is left behind on the grounds). We also provide a dog bowl and treats to make your pet feel at home. Nicely sized back yard with plenty of shade for your family & the pups to lounge. On the rare occasions that the outside temperatures get too high, a portable AC unit is provided to compliment the ceiling fans to increase comfort level.Don’t forget, this is a Quiet Cottage Community SO PLEASE abide by the quiet time hours of 11pm – 8am, turn down the volume during those hours to be respectful of the neighbors. Rustic but cozy! This 700 sq foot cottage has everything you need for a fun family get-a-way. It sleeps a total of 4. There is a gas fireplace in the living room for chilly evenings, a 50” flat screen TV with a dvd player and Cable TV. We have WIFI, heat & Air. The cottage has 2 bedrooms with a queen size bed in both, Queen size bed in pull out couch in Living Room. Washer/Dryer! Keurig Coffee Maker and coffee pods provided! Outside fire pit for toasting marshmallows and star gazing! Huge yard for the kids to play. Gas grill outside for BBQ! Linens, Towels, all provided! All that is needed is you! We are a 7 minute stroll or 1-2 min car ride to Lake Huron Private Beach! Want to go shopping? We are a 5 min drive to Beautiful Downtown Lexington. (see photos). Please note!
