The Villa Rose Hotel & V-Spa

Stayed here again and once more was left leaving very happy. Rooms are large and comfortable and with bottled water and tea and coffee. Food in the bar was excellent and well priced. Staff were all very friendly and hotel was warm throughout. Scones on arrival were served in the front bar along the main street.

Booked this hotel a few times..well pleased each time..its a quiet hotel backing on to a river with wonderful walks ...the rooms are spacious the bed comfortable I had no complaints on my stay there..book the afternoon tea it was amazing...across the street is a fantastic place for late night food..o that Hawaiian burger..very reasonably priced ..there is plenty to see round the twin towns and a good stopover if your heading to Derry...loved it and will be back thank you

We had never been to Ballybofey before but thanks to our stay in Villa Rose we will be back again. Rooms spacious & beautifully decorated. Dinner & Breakfast were delicious. Lovely ambiance from the reception & bar including the spa. The staff were all so courteous, friendly & full.of typical Donegal humour. Plus having the use of the leisure centre in their sister hotel Jacksons was an added bonus. Lovely walks nearby

Our experience was absolutely excellent. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond for us! Our rooms were beautiful, with very comfy beds and great amenities. Fantastic location also. The food in the restaurant was delicious and our treatments in the spa wee wonderful. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone. Perfect for couples, friends getaways and even solo travel. My friends and I stayed on the “besties” package and it was outstanding. We can’t wait to go back.

We returned to the Villa Rose for a stay over Easter and had a lovely time. This hotel is a perfect base for touring beautiful Donegal or for shopping in McElhinneys just across the road. We were allocated the suite on this occasion and it was extremely comfortable with a fabulous bed, lovely coffee machine, luxurious chocolates, mineral water and all you need for a relaxing stay. The bathroom was huge with natural light from the large window. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff (mainly Donegal locals) were very welcoming and were clearly happy at work and committed to welcoming and looking after their guests. It is nice to stay in an Irish owned and run hotel which is clearly an asset to the town of Ballybofey. Breakfast was perfect each morning. As it was midweek we didn’t get to dine in the main restaurant and so ate in the bar and our meals were delicious. On one of the evenings there was a local traditional Irish music group playing in the reception area and this added to the ambience. All in all we had a very comfortable and relaxing stay in the Villa Rose, a hotel which offers very good value, comfort and hospitality.

Lovely hotel and staff. Our friends were having a night away following their wedding a few weeks earlier and a card and chocolates were left in the room for them. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice and was well worth paying the extra for. Will definitely stay again.
