We were located in Ryalux, which is a small, ground-floor room with a lowish ceiling and a double bed. The complex is in a converted stable block. The bed was comfortable, but the room had various drawbacks: there was no carpet or rug, merely wooden floorboards, which, for older/disabled people such as me, causes difficulty. There were no comfy chairs, merely one swivel chair in front of a desk/dressing table. There was no wardrobe, merely a short hanging rail in a corner. There was little storage space, which meant keeping things on the floor, with the result that I never went beyond the entrance area. The fridge was a plus point but was located in the kneehole of another desk without a chair on which the coffee/tea-making equipment was situated. The en-suite was well appointed, but the over-bath shower was difficult for me to access, owing to no suitable handles or bath mat. In order to heat the room to a suitable temperature, we had to use the air conditioning, since the radiators could not be adjusted. The modern light switches took some getting used to. On the plus side, the setting was pleasant, parking very easy and close by, and the breakfasts were superb. The staff were friendly and helpful. The WiFi was good, but there was no O2 phone coverage. Our experience could have been improved by a carpet in particular and two comfy chairs.
