Excellent service, friendly staff, cudnt do enough for us, continental breakfast was good, ended up having fresh coffee, wholemeal toast and jam, but there was actually a huge choice, including porridge, various yogurts, different fruits & all types of breads, fresh croissants, pastries etc, sooo yesss would definitely stay here again! Dw

We decided that this place is the worst place we have ever stayed in all our 69 years . So much so we came home 1 day early .Music banging on till 1.45 each night right under our room. Led by the drunk landlord and his drunk friends. Breakfast was a joke ,not even a hot drink on our what we made our last day. Dirty carpets and dust WELL!!!!. If you are wanting a restful break stay well away.

Staff very friendly. Really helpful and very quick service. Huge choice of well kept beers and lagers. The food, although simple bar food, is just superb and very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit. Atmosphere is great and We will be back.

Ridiculous. How can a pub offer accommodation and then play loud music and allow customers to be outside shouting until after 2.30am? When anyone stays in a pub there is always going to be a bit of noise as people leave after closing, but 3 and 1/2 hours later than that we were still lying there listening to screaming and shouting and what sounded like a full disco in swing from the bar below. We complained to staff at breakfast and were informed that they would pass on the complaint “again”. Clearly not an isolated incident then! If you are visiting a small village in the Dales in the hope of a late night party before heading off to bed in the small hours, this will be the perfect place for you!!

Having spent a week in High Bentham we visited the pub most days. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere in the pub was relaxing and we were able to take our small dog with us. We had food on a number of occasions which was good quality.

Excellent customer service, nice food at a reasonable price and excellent ambience! I’d recommend this pub as a place to eat definitely, proper N Yorks hospitality at its finest and the desserts looked amazing. The staff are lovely and friendly, really kind and couldn’t do enough to help.

Booked a Saturday night stay here at very short notice so weren't expecting great things but ended up pleasantly surprised. A very warm welcome from the bar staff, our room Gaping Gill had a quirky duplex layout, was a good size, had a very comfortable bed and decent shower. Breakfast was brilliant; a proper Yorkshire fry up to set you up for the day. The actual pub its self had a great selection of beers, chatty staff and a pool table. It was very lively on the Saturday night so maybe not an ideal place to stay if you want a quiet night away. But we had a great time, would 100% return.

We stayed at the coach house whilst attending a family party, what a lovely,clean and friendly place! The staff are lovely, the room was excellent very comfortable, with everything you need for a nights stay. The breakfast was included and very good, I will definitely stay there again when in Bentham, can’t recommend it enough

We were staying in an AirB&B nearby, so headed to Bentham in search of an evening meal. Soon found the Coach House. Menu posted outside looked OK, so in we went. Nice looking country style pub. Once inside, we were told Thursday night was steak night. Basically, if you order 2 steaks you get a free bottle of house wine. This is what we did and got 2 excellent quality and nicely (medium) cooked sirloin steaks with a wonderful bottle of Spanish red. We finished off with a piece of the devine 'Chocolate Orange Cake' for dessert. All in all, an excellent evening.
